The story is set in a distant future, where a group of teens are mysteriously teleported into a giant, stone maze. Not only has their memory been cleared, but they also have no indication as to why they have ended up in this position and what means they must take to escape.
The result of the research was there were some educational values in the "Maze Runner" novel found, it was never given up, self-confidence, friendly and be polite, love, forgiveness, optimism, help each other and responsible as a human society. And the most occurred was never give up and optimism.
The ultimate goal of the Gladers is to find a way out of the Maze. To do so, certain Gladers called "Runners" venture into the Maze every day, to map it in an attempt to find a pattern in the Maze that would lead them to find an exit.
Each of the Gladers has a job to do, but the Runners carry out the primary focus of the community: finding a way through the Maze so they can all return home. This quest to solve the puzzle of the Maze sets up the central conflict of the book.
In the movies, it is implied that Thomas was immune to the Flare virus, which made him valuable to WCKD. Instead of killing him for his actions, WCKD decided to send him into the Maze as part of their experiment [1].
Thomas tells the Keepers that he and Teresa were manipulated into designing the Maze because they share the gift of telepathy. He convinces the others that he and Teresa are now in as much danger as them, but he knows the way out. Thomas tells them in order to escape, they have to jump through the Griever Hole.
The Glader society is built on three rules: 1) Do your part, 2) Never hurt another Glader and 3) Never go beyond the walls. The vocation of runner is the obvious exception to the third rule.
It just needed to happen, in her mind. No biggie. In book 2, she couldn't stand the thought of Thomas feeling betrayed without warning, so she tries really hard to warn him. And then basically kills their friendship to save his life.
It is eventually revealed that Thomas' blood contains a unique enzyme that can destroy the Flare virus [2]. In "The Death Cure" film, Teresa, one of the main characters, uses a small fragment of Thomas' blood and observes under a microscope that it snaps a dark-red vein with the virus in it, effectively killing it [2].
The Maze is a complex symbol representing both chaos and order. Every night the walls move and shift, making it harder for the Gladers to find an exit. These constant changes along with the apparent impossibility of actually solving the Maze make most of the Gladers see the Maze as a symbol of futility and chaos.
They bring the Gladers to a safe-house and give them a place to eat and sleep in peace. The novel ends with an email by the Chancellor of the Maze Trials, Ava Paige. She writes that the “rescue” was a good finale and that after the group gets a good night's sleep, phase two of the experiment will begin.
Newt reveals that the reason WCKD put him in the Maze was because they wanted to tell the difference between immunes like Thomas and people like himself. Thomas tells Newt that he can cure him.
Gally is alive in Maze Runner: The Death Cure because he was rescued and saved after The Maze Runner's ending. Although the Gladers thought that he was already dead, Gally confirms that they left him to die. It was after they left that another group stumbled across the maze and laboratory and found Gally still inside.
They were ordered to wait so Teresa could meet with him in the building alone. Her mind was overtaken by something, and she was forced to kiss him. Thomas is sure now that Teresa is The Betrayer and has turned against him.
The emotional intensity is definitely doubled up in the movie, establishing Teresa as a Thomas' one true love interest. Unlike Dashner's original story, the possibility of him dating Brenda is eliminated, and the audiences also get enough time to process the death of a character introduced right from the first movie.
As part of the betrayal plan, Aris snuck up on Thomas with a drawn knife, telling him to go to a location in the mountains with Teresa. They went into a cavern, and Aris and Teresa started kissing, which was all part of the betrayal.
The books center on Thomas, a 16-year-old boy with no memory of life before the Maze, the friends he makes in the Glade, and their struggles to survive a series of deadly tests and overthrow the corporation running them.
Newt gets scratched by one of the Cranks on his right forearm, consequently infecting him with the virus. How does Newt get infected on Maze Runner? So of the guys who were originally in the Glade in the books, most of them were already immune to the Flare.
Gally got through the same way the other Gladers got through. Gally used the small mechanical device that was found in the dead Griever body. We know this because when Gally appears at the end he is holding it.
It all ends here, in this epic conclusion to the "Maze Runner" saga. Thomas, Newt, and Frypan are the last of the free "Gladers" immune to the Flare virus that has ravaged the world's population.
Instead, Thomas and Teresa fight back, but then Teresa dies in The Death Cure after helping Thomas flee with the Right Arm. At the end of The Maze Runner 3, it's revealed Thomas did escape with a vial of the cure. He keeps the vial with him as he and the fellow survivors begin their new life.
Newt is approached by Thomas on a rooftop and shows him his infection, as shown by the black veins on his right arm. Newt explains that the reason WCKD put him in the Maze was because they wanted to tell the difference between immunes like Thomas and people like himself.
