When The Fellowship is taken to Galadriel, she and Boromir have a telepathic conversation which immediately causes Boromir to burst into tears. She senses his desires for the Ring but tells him not to give in because even now, there is hope.
In The Fellowship of the Ring (2001), Boromir is the only member of the Fellowship who does not receive a gift from Galadriel. He does wear a belt throughout the film, but it is made of leather, not gold.
Galadriel: "I know what it is you saw, for it is also in my mind." [Her voice echoes in Frodo's head] "It is what will come to pass if you should fail. The Fellowship is breaking: it is already begun. He will try to take the Ring. You know of whom I speak.
Boromir is portrayed as a noble character who believed passionately in the greatness of his kingdom and fought indomitably for it. His great stamina and physical strength, together with a forceful and commanding personality, made him a widely admired commander in Gondor's army and the favourite of his father Denethor.

Why was Boromir scared of Galadriel?
He believed the stories told in Gondor that Galadriel's magic would harm them. He eventually agreed to go after Aragorn assured him the Elves would help them. In Lothlórien, Boromir was disturbed by what he felt was Galadriel's testing of his mind, and he was suspicious of her motives.
Inside the boat, he says, he saw the body of his brother Boromir, recognizing his gear and his face, but noting that his horn was gone. Faramir recounts that he called out to his brother, asking about the horn's location and where Boromir was bound.
Thus, Galadriel's dark form in Jackson's The Lord of the Rings personified what would have occurred had the Lady of Lothlorien given in to temptation and taken the One Ring for herself. She would have succumbed to evil because the Ring was indomitable, even with her power.

When Galadriel tells Frodo, “To bear a ring of power is to be alone,” she demonstrates her understanding of exactly how enormous Frodo's task is, and how separate he is from the rest of the fellowship. His task is completely solitary, and it will consume his life.
Galadriel then presents the Fellowship with additional gifts. To Aragorn she gives a sheath for his sword, Andúril, and a green gem in a silver brooch. Boromir, Merry, and Pippin each receive belts of silver or gold, while Legolas receives a longer, stouter bow.
Galadriel denied her hair to Fëanor because she knew the greed in his heart would never change. By gifting Gimli three hairs instead of the one he asked for, he proved a point that spanned back to the First Age.
Galadriel: I amar prestar aen, han mathon ne nen, han mathon ne chae a han noston ned 'wilith. Galadriel: 'The world is changed; I can feel it in the water, I can feel it in the earth, I can smell it in the air. ' Aragorn thanking Brego for his awakening.
Despite her suspicions of Boromir and the massive rift between the races of Middle-earth, Galadriel understood that uniting all people was the only way they could defeat Sauron. The small act of passing her gift on to Boromir was a step in the right direction that the films failed to elaborate on.
She tells Gil-galad that, "Evil does not sleep; it waits." In The Rings of Power, Galadriel's conviction came across as arrogance and anger. In Lord of the Rings, Galadriel was not shown as a warrior, which makes the comparison with the character depicted in The Rings of Power jarring and difficult to reconcile.
For those that haven't read Tolkien's work, it's easy to see why many audiences suspect Gandalf and Galadriel are in love. After all, many of their interactions in The Hobbit trilogy practically scream romance. However, their relationship remains purely platonic in Tolkien's source material.
Yet, since Tolkien does give family trees for other important Elves in the book, such as Galadriel and Elrond, it's clear that Galadriel is not Legolas's mother. (Besides, she is one of the Noldor, not a Silvan or Sindar Elf.)
In the films, Bloom wore contacts to make his eyes blue, probably to distinguish him from the Silvan elves of Mirkwood, Legolas, the son of Thranduil, is a Sindarin, often treated as nobility by elves of less distinguished lineage.
Through her great-grandmother, Idril, Arwen was a descendant of King Turgon of the Noldor. Through her mother, she was the granddaughter of the Elf-queen Galadriel of Lothlórien. Through both of her parents, Arwen was a direct descendant of the ancient Elven House of Finwë.
She also resisted being offered the ring of power by Frodo following his vision in the mirror of Galadriel, an immense test given the ring's seductive powers. Yet Gandalf's power level exceeds even that of Galadriel, as shown by his rebirth in the Two Towers.
Additionally, while he was in his weakened state, Galadriel could hold him off through the power of will alone. However, if Sauron had his One Ring and faced off in a battle against Galadriel, it's unlikely that there would be much she could do.
The relationship between Faramir and Boromir, who was five years older, grew much closer and greater in love. Despite the obvious way that Denethor favored Boromir over Faramir, there was no jealousy or rivalry between them.
Faramir, knowing that Boromir is dead and attempting to trick Frodo, announces that Boromir will clear up everything when he arrives. Frodo, however, is unaware of Boromir's death. Faramir hints that he suspects Frodo of betraying Boromir. Faramir reveals to Frodo that Boromir is his brother.
So the simple explanation is that Denethor saw Aragorn as a threat to him; he was the ruler of Gondor, and if Aragorn appeared as the heir of Elendil, he would be acclaimed as king.
