Princess Merida of DunBroch (Scottish Gaelic: Mèrida) is the main protagonist of the 2012 Disney/Pixar film Brave (2012). Merida was added to the Disney Princess line-up as the eleventh member, on May 11, 2013, becoming the first Disney Princess to be created by Pixar.
The thirteen characters in the franchise consist of Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, Pocahontas, Mulan, Tiana, Rapunzel, Merida, Moana, and Raya.
