Toy Story 4 ends with Woody leaving his child behind to live a life with Bo Peep in a traveling carnival. Thanks to a consistently funny script, the film is a blast to watch when it's not making your eyes well up, but either way the film will likely leave you crying.
In Toy Story 3, the ending of the film's emotional tension arrives when Andy ultimately decides to part ways with his beloved toys. After their stressful journey to reunite with Andy, they share one final playtime session before being handed off into Bonnie's care.

Not only have the animators taken advantage of the ostensible improvements in digital animation since 2010, but it appears the animators have used the Toy Story 3 version of Andy as the template from which to de-age him back down to a young boy.
The reason why he breaks this promise is because he has grown up, a transformation that in principle should not take place in toys. Specifically, during this coming-of-age process, he loses the innocence that platonic friendship is the most important affection as he realizes the significance of a romantic relationship.

“She'll be OK,” Buzz Lightyear tells Woody, who initially says goodbye to his old girlfriend to head back with the larger group. “Bonnie will be OK,” Buzz then emphasizes, making it clear that the longtime friends both understand where Woody is wanted most, and where Woody wants to be most.
Now we can put a name to the incredibly creepy face: Gabby. She's a pull-string doll from the 1950s who's been sitting in an antique store for ages. Voiced by Christina Hendricks (Mad Men), Gabby appears in the trailer and sends an army of creepy ventriloquist dolls after Woody and Bo Peep. Yikes!
