As an eager mouthpiece for The Capitol, his fate remains unknown following the successful revolution at the conclusion of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2. Presumably, he's executed alongside the other former elites, but a definitive answer remains unknown.
In Chapter 9, as Caesar Flickerman interviews Peeta before the Games, Peeta reveals to Caesar and all of Panem that he's in love with Katniss. Peeta's revelation sets in motion the storyline of him and Katniss as ill-fated lovers that carries on throughout the Games.
Mockingjay. After Katniss destroys the arena and escapes with the other rebels, Effie is arrested along with Katniss and Peeta's prep teams. After President Snow is sentenced to death, Effie is released from prison.
Is Caesar Flickerman in Ballad of songbirds and snakes?
Schwartzman's Lucky Flickerman is a brand new character in The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. The book revealed that the man had been a weatherman for Panem's Capitol until he was asked to become the first-ever host of the annual Hunger Games. This was an important step in the history of the brutal events.
For one thing, Songbirds & Snakes is set 64 years before Katniss volunteers as tribute. That means there's probably a generation or two between Lucy Gray and Katniss if they are related. Fans also know who Katniss' mother is, so that rules out Lucy Gray being her mom.
Caesar Flickerman's fate is never specified in the books or the movies. However, we can make some assumptions. 1 - He was killed by the rebel forces after their invasion of the Capitol. Being a symbol of one of the worst atrocities committed against the district's, he'd obviously be a target.

After the Second Rebellion and Panem's transition into a democratic republic, Haymitch, alongside Peeta and Katniss, return to Victors' Village in District 12, where they remain as the district is rebuilt around them.
He jokes with her, whispering that it's okay to kiss him since they're madly in love, but once Katniss begins to clean him in the stream, she can see how weak he is.
Later, the two learn President Snow considered their actions to be an act of rebellion against the Capitol. After their last interview, in which the two continue to affect their romantic feelings for one another, Peeta comes to the realization Katniss has staged her love for him all along.
He has betrayed her and is betraying all of District 12 by buddying up with the Careers, whom she calls the "Capitol's lapdogs." She decides that if the Careers don't kill him, she'd be more than happy to. Then, she wonders why Peeta hasn't told them about her bow and arrow skills yet.
Cato's competitive nature is even more extreme than those of his fellow Careers, as he harbors a deep resentment of Katniss due to her high training score and iterates to his allies that he must be the one to kill her.
However, he did genuinely seem to care about his granddaughter; when she watched Katniss tearfully hugging Peeta in the Hunger Games after Finnick Odair revived him, she said she wanted to love someone that much someday. Snow beamed at her and replied, "And so you shall, my darling. So you shall."
From this emerged the canard that Ruskin, used only to the smoothness of classical statues of the nude, was repulsed by the wedding-night revelation that Effie had pubic hair. It may not rival Cleopatra's nose, but poor Effie has gone down as the possessor of the most famous genital coiffure in history.

Immediately after Gloss's death, Cashmere charges at Katniss with a knife, apparently intent on killing her, but Johanna digs her axe into Cashmere's chest, killing her.
Johanna won the 71st Hunger Games by pretending to be weak and that made all the other tributes leave her for last. Then she unleashed her full potential and violently killed all the remaining tributes. Johanna, being the only remaining District 7 female victor, was Reaped for the 75th Hunger Games.
What does Haymitch think of Peeta and Katniss holding hands?
The conversation moves on to more discussion of the opening ceremonies, and Haymitch describes Katniss and Peeta's hand-holding as "Just the perfect touch of rebellion." This recalls the rebellious silence of the people of District 12 when Katniss sacrificed herself for her sister on the day of the reaping.
During the supposed execution of Snow, she instead shoots Coin, due to her being responsible for Prim's death. She then attempts to kill herself with the suicide pill attached to her uniform, but Peeta stops her.
Cato releases Peeta and falls off of the Cornucopia. The dogs immediately attack him. When Katniss realizes that the dogs intend to kill Cato slowly, she fires her last arrow at Cato, putting him out of his misery. His death marks the end of the 74th Hunger Games.
In the 74th Hunger Games, Clove was the only Career tribute who came close to killing Katniss twice — at the Bloodbath and at the Feast, and certainly seemed to have a deep hatred for her, perhaps because Katniss received a higher score than her.
