Chris and Jessie make it to the other tree, but unfortunately "Three Finger" sneaks up behind Carly and slices her head in half with an axe and her body falls through the trees, as Chris and Jessie watch in horror.
While Chris is the first character introduced in the movie, Jessie Burlingame (Eliza Dushku) makes for the horror movie Final Girl. All of them dead in the end save for Chris and Jessie who manage to make their way back to the main road.
Scott pays a local tracker to take him through the forest. After the tracker and his son are killed by a trap, Scott finds the settlement but is surrounded. Jen, apparently brainwashed and married to Venable, shoots her father with an arrow. Venable sentences Scott to "darkness" for trespassing and imprisons him.

Summary. Wrong Turn 6: Last Resort faced a major setback when it included a real missing person's photo without consent. The film was pulled from shelves and eventually re-released in 2015 after the controversial picture was removed.
In Wrong Turn: Last Resort's final moments, Danny becomes the caretaker of Hobb Springs Resort and goes to a ceremonial room in the depths of the building to have sex with Sally as the other three cannibals watch.
She, Venable, and Ruthie leave, driving away in a recreational vehicle (RV). As the end credits roll, Jen causes the RV to crash into a parked car. Jen stabs Venable to death and kills the other cultist, the RV driver as well. She then takes Ruthie's hand as they walk back towards her family home.
Wrong Turn 2021 seems like it will end on a dark note as she leaves with him and enters an RV with several cult members, but as it drives away, it can be seen swerving and it crashes. Jen then kills the fleeing Venable before walking away hand in hand with Ruthie.
He meets his demise in the latter film too, when he gets into a nasty scuffle with Dale Murphy (Henry Rollins). His final scene is fitting for both Maynard as a character and Wrong Turn as a franchise; before he can shoot Murphy, a stick of dynamite causes him to explode into a gory mess.

Three Finger is the only character to appear in the first six Wrong Turn movies. The only film he has not appeared in is the 2021 Wrong Turn reboot, though an indirect reference is made to him and the Odet Family near the end. Three Finger has the most kills out of all the other mutant antagonists in the franchise.
So on one level the twins represent Danny, perhaps accompanied by his imaginary friend. Rather than seeing the past, he is anticipating his own potential murder / abuse. He also saw the twins in his first shining vision, while looking into a mirror.
Fate. Later, Jen and her father Scott flee and Jen tries to get Darius to flee as well, but he refuses since he doesn't want to end up like Luis. So he stays behind. It's rather unknown what happened to Darius, but he most likely survived in the Foundation without punishment.
It is the fifth installment in the Wrong Turn film series, and is both a sequel to Wrong Turn 4: Bloody Beginnings (2011), and a prequel to Wrong Turn (2003). The film was followed by Wrong Turn 6: Last Resort (2014).
Thanks to their strange chronology, Wrong Turn 4: Bloody Beginnings and Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines both end with the cannibals slaying all the heroes, leaving no token final survivor to make it to the next movie in the series.
