When Sabor spots the Baby, she begins chasing him; the Baby Gorilla tries to race back to his parents but Sabor kills and eats him. Kerchak and Kala hear their son's cries and race to try to protect him, but are too late, so Kala cries sadly in Kerchak's arms at the loss of her only child.
Death. At the climax, when Kerchak helps the ape group fight against the poachers, he witnesses Tarzan getting shot on the arm by Clayton. Angered at this, Kerchak goes to attack Clayton, but gets fatally shot on the chest, much to Tarzan's anger and to Clayton's delight.
After Tarzan reaches adulthood, Kala is killed by a native African hunter, who is subsequently killed by Tarzan in revenge. Kala also appears in Jungle Tales of Tarzan, the sixth book of the Tarzan series, which relates episodes from the ape man's youth omitted from Tarzan of the Apes.
While Tarzan lands safely, the vine runs out of slack and snaps Clayton's neck, killing him. Flashes of lightning briefly illuminating a tree behind Tarzan reveal the gruesome shadow of Clayton's hanged corpse swaying ever so slightly, the jungle having claimed him.
Terk is a major character in Disney's 1999 animated feature film Tarzan. She is a rowdy, tomboyish, and fun-loving gorilla and the best friend of Tarzan.
As he grows up, Tarzan becomes a skilled hunter, exciting the jealousy of Kerchak, the ape leader, who finally attacks him. Tarzan kills Kerchak and takes his place as "king" of the apes. In The Return of Tarzan, Tarzan and Jane marry. In later books, he lives with her for a time in England. They have one son, Jack, who takes the ape name Korak (the Killer).
Fortunately, the toddler is picked up by one of the killer apes, Kala, who immediately starts breast feeding him, since her own little baby ape was tragically and somewhat conveniently killed, making her long for a replacement baby. This allows Tarzan to grow up with apes, and develop super strength.
The Snake (Passe-Partout): The traitor who accidentally leads the authorities to the abandoned warehouse where their stash of cigarettes is hidden, and who betrays Tarzan by telling the police that Tarzan crossed the US-Canada border the day a border-control officer was killed.
According to a Cast Member who played the iconic Jack Sparrow in Disneyland Park, one character was cut from the lineup of walk-around characters due to multiple accounts of sexual harassment. The male character they had pulled was Tarzan. He moved around the tree house dressed in just a butt flap.
Kala often disagrees with her mate Kerchak (though both want is best for the tribe), but despite this, they love each other, and Kala is sad when Kerchak dies.

In the end of both movies, both of the female leads adapt to their counterparts lifestyles. Jane decides to stay in the jungle with Tarzan and learn his way of life, since that's what her mission was in the first place.
As anyone who has read the first book in the series, “Tarzan of the Apes”, can tell you, he taught himself to shave so he might not become an ape figuratively.
In the Walt Disney produced animated movie Tarzan (1999), Tantor is the personal name of this original elephant companion of Tarzan's rather than a term designating all elephants. In this version, Tantor is a sweet-natured yet highly phobic elephant afraid of many things, such as germs and frightening sounds.
Kala adopts Tarzan shortly after the loss of a child that had been born to her. Kershak cautions Kala that Tarzan “won't replace the one we lost.” Kala's response is excellent: “I know that… but he needs me.”
