Weapons. Legolas famously used an Elven bow, as well as a long, white knife. He would prefer to pierce his enemies from afar, but his dagger was sometimes used for close combat. Why is Legolas so good with a bow?
Legolas' proficiency with the bow and arrow can be attributed to his Elven abilities, including enhanced eyesight, attunement to the environment, and centuries of experience as a hunter.
The name Legolas is a Silvan dialect form of pure Sindarin Laegolas, which means "Greenleaf". At one point he is called "Legolas Greenleaf" by Gandalf, coupling his name and its translation like an epithet. Legolas consists of the Sindarin words laeg, a very rare, archaic word for "green" (cf.

The films portray Arwen as becoming human through her love for Aragorn; as in the novel, she follows the choice of her ancestor Lúthien to become a mortal woman for the love of a mortal man. The films introduce a jewelled pendant called the Evenstar which Arwen gives to Aragorn as a token of their love.
When The Fellowship is taken to Galadriel, she and Boromir have a telepathic conversation which immediately causes Boromir to burst into tears. She senses his desires for the Ring but tells him not to give in because even now, there is hope.
Aragorn and Legolas are long-time companions and best friends since Legolas' father Thranduil sent him to live among the Rangers of the North. Aragorn and Legolas grew close, up to the point where Aragorn revealed his true identity to Legolas. Throughout his journeys, Aragorn and Legolas are as close as brothers.

Other than The Battle of the Five Armies, Legolas never runs out of arrows. In The Desolation of Smaug, Legolas blinks. Regularly, never blinks, unless he is injured.
Apparently Orlando was allergic to the contact lenses in LotR, so he didn't wear them... but he did in The Hobbit. I found it strange and funny that his eyes changed colors, because it looked so weird the first time I saw it!
