Loki's true form. Loki Laufeyson is a fictional character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He is played by Tom Hiddleston. Loki was born as a Jotunn, also known as a Frost Giant, in Jotunheim, but since his size was anything but of a giant, he was abandoned by his father, Laufey.
However, one side of Loki that has yet to be fully explored is his Frost Giant heritage. Like his comic counterpart, the McU's Loki was born to the Frost Giants as the son of King Laufey, adopted by Odin and raised in Asgard.

Is Loki gender Fluid?
Loki's gender fluidity is made MCU canon in new Disney+ series, Loki. Up until recently, it was unknown what Marvel's Loki's gender identity is. Staying true to the Marvel comics, it was just confirmed by the new Loki show on Disney+ that he is gender-fluid.
We don't know much about Loki's early days, but based on the fact that he fathered three beings known as Loki's Monstrous Children (who are major antagonists in the final battle at the end of our* universe), it is generally understood that Loki started out as a bad guy.
Loki is a boy's name of Norse origin that means "airy." Sharing its namesake with the Norse god of mischief, Loki makes a sweet yet edgy name for little boys. As a deity, Loki was a trickster who could change his shape and appearance to evade his enemies.
Why did Loki turn into a woman? In the comics, Loki is reborn as a woman, known simply as Lady Loki, after the events of Ragnarok in Asgard, but even that wasn't too innocent: When Thor and his fellow Asgardians are to be reborn in new bodies on Earth, Loki actually stole the body intended to be for Sif.
Citing the Marvel Visual Dictionary, this theory explains that Odin used magic to make Loki seem Asgardian. However, Odin must have used stronger magic than a simple illusion. Otherwise, Loki would have turned blue in Loki when he entered the Time Variance Authority (TVA) Office, where magic and powers did not work.
It was explained in “Thor” why he adopted Loki as a son. (SPOILERS from “Thor: Ragnarok” are below, so read at your own risk!) Loki was a helpless baby left to die in the cold, harsh environment of Jötunheim. Odin took pity on him and rescued him.
However, Loki has a complicated relationship with his Jotun blood, as he was abandoned by his people and raised to hate the Frost Giants as an Asgardian. Thus, even though Loki has the ability to use his cryokinetic Frost Giant powers, he chooses not to.
(Remember: Odin literally turned his son's skin from blue to white when he was a baby and kept Loki's parentage hidden from him until he was an adult.)
He turns a little blue from the frost giant touch and from the casket. Him turning blue is Jotun magic. Thats why he was blue as a baby until Odin touched him. He was always white.
Sylvie is an original character created for the MCU with inspiration taken from Lady Loki, a female form of the original Loki who debuted in Thor Vol. 2 #80 following the Ragnarok event, and Sylvie Lushton, the second iteration of the Enchantress introduced in Dark Reign: Young Avengers #1.
Loki is married to Sigyn and they have two sons, Narfi or Nari and Váli. By the jötunn Angrboða, Loki is the father of Hel, the wolf Fenrir, and the world serpent Jörmungandr. In the form of a mare, Loki was impregnated by the stallion Svaðilfari and gave birth to the eight-legged horse Sleipnir.
Loki was regarded by the ancient Norse people as the god of mischief, trickery, and deception. He was also seen as the father of several gods and Jotunns, including Sleipnir, Hel, Jormungandr, and Fenrir.
Loki shapeshifted and turned himself into an alluring female horse to draw Svaðilfari away from helping the master builder complete Asgard's fortifications. When they were together, Loki and Svaðilfari mated. Loki subsequently became pregnant and gave birth to Sleipnir.
Thor and Loki are epically powerful gods from the Norse-inspired realm of Asgard, both powered by humanity's belief in them, but it is often shown that the God of Thunder Thor is much more "powerful" than his sibling Loki.
Loki made his debut in the MCU way back in 2011 and has been a mainstay in the universe for a decade, and yet fans are only finding out now that he is bisexual. Loki is not the first queer character in the MCU and he won't be the last. Marvel has plans to introduce a gay superhero in a film this year.
Loki came out on the third episode of the series after telling Lady Loki (Sophia Di Martino) that he's had a romantic past with both princes and princesses. That line of a dialogue was the extent to which “Loki” addressed the character's bisexuality.
