Natalia Alianovna Romanoff, more commonly known as Natasha Romanoff, is a fictional character primarily portrayed by Scarlett Johansson in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) media franchise—based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name—sometimes known by her alias, Black Widow.
Adjusting Natalia Romanova to Natasha Romanoff was only a minor change, and it simply meant she took on the western equivalent of her Russian name; "Natasha" is a western form of Natalia, and "Romanoff" of Romanova.
Her friends usually call her "Natasha", the informal version of "Natalia". She has sometimes chosen the last-name alias "Romanoff". She has hinted to be a descendant of the deposed House of Romanov and a relation to Nicholas II of Russia.
Black Widow's first romantic relationship was with Nikolai, a soldier she met while both were serving with the Russian Army during WWII. The young soldier had no backstory, but Natasha and Nikolai fell in love and eventually married.

Did Hawkeye love Black Widow and did she love him in return? While never explicitly stated in the films leading up to Avengers: Endgame, Natasha Romanoff and Clint Barton have a romantic connection in their relationship, though they couldn't consummate it for various reasons.
