With the news today that a Marvel-themed land (including attractions for Spider-Man and the Avengers) will soon replace A Bug's Land in Disney California Adventure, our comic-book-loving staff gave a collective cheer.
On March 20, 2018, it was announced that A Bug's Land would close permanently, as the land became the site for Avengers Campus. It's Tough to Be a Bug!
That means the end of Heimlich's Chew Chew Train, Flik's Flyers, Francis' Ladybug Boogie and the 3D show “It's Tough to Be a Bug!” Theme park officials announced in March that A Bug's Land would be sacrificed to make way for the new superhero land, adjacent to the drop ride, Guardians of the Galaxy — Mission: Breakout.
Following the opening of "A Bug's Land" in October 2002, the Bug's Life Theater became part of the Bug's Land attraction and has been there since 2002 for over the years.
Avengers Campus is located inside Disney California Adventure in the space previously occupied by A Bug's Land. (Don't worry — A Bug's Land is still there.

A Bug's Land is a defunct themed, "Land" from Disney California Adventure themed to the film A Bug's Life (1998). The land was replaced by Avengers Campus which has various allusions and repurposed features from the land.
