The Beast, also known as Prince Adam, is a fictional character who appears in Walt Disney Animation Studios' 30th animated feature film Beauty and the Beast (1991), as well as in the film's two direct-to-video followups Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas and Belle's Magical World.
The movie never mentions the real name of the Beast and is even credited as such, but it's believed by many that his name is Adam, and is listed as such on many sites dedicated to all things Disney.
In any case, they are deferential to him: even when speaking about him among themselves, they call him "the master." Belle refers to him once as "the beast," in the scene with the magic mirror and the frightened townsfolk. It's unclear if she was adopting their phrasing, or if she considers him "a" beast.

A new book has revealed that Belle looked very glamorous in original concepts, and it was thought she would not be relatable. In Disney's Beauty and the Beast, Belle's name, as the song says, means beauty.

Was Beast in love with Belle?
Eventually, the Beast falls in love with Belle, and placing her happiness before his own, he releases her to tend to her sick father, a decision that disheartens him upon realizing that she had not yet returned his love which means that the curse remains unbroken.
The original Beauty of Beauty and the Beast did suffer from Stockholm syndrome. She developed feelings for the Beast under duress, alone and unsupported, rather than through genuine connection.
The animated films never made mention of his real name. An official advertisement from Disney France said "The Prince's name is Henry", although no more media have called him that, always being referred to simply as "Prince Charming" in the different Disney media and merchandise.
The beautiful Belle marries the prince after he holds her captive inside his castle and saves her from the evil Gaston. But, one fan of Disney's "Beauty and the Beast" is disputing this ending.

In the animated movie, the two don't kiss until after the Beast is transformed into a Prince, sealing the reversal of the enchantment over the castle. This time around, when Belle tells the Beast she loves him, she offers him a quick kiss on the lips.
Belle doesn't join him for dinner (no shock there) and the Beast's anger boils over. He runs to her door screaming, “You'll come out or I'll break down the door” and when she still refuses to join him, he says, “Go ahead and starve.”
Just then, however, the Beast arrives and ruthlessly scolds Belle out of fury for disobeying him. Terrified as well as having had enough of the Beast's ferocious temper and the castle itself, Belle escapes the castle (rushing past Cogsworth and Lumière) and runs away.
The queen left him in the care of an evil fairy who tried to seduce him when he became an adult; when he refused, she transformed him into a beast. Only by finding true love, despite his ugliness, could the curse be broken. He and Beauty are married and they live happily ever after together.
In the 2017 remake, she knows. The servants tell her everything except how the spell can be broken. In the original animated movie, though, there's no indication whatsoever that she knows he was once human.
The Mattel cartoon Ever After High (2013–2017), features Rapunzel's has two daughters: Holly O'Hair and Poppy O'Hair. Tangled: The Series (2017–2020) is a 2D animated TV show based on Disney Animation's computer animated musical feature film Tangled.
In the first Frozen movie, Elsa's age was 21, while Anna was 18. Considering Frozen revolved around Elsa's coronation, it's refreshing to see that Arendelle waited until she was a more appropriate age to receive the queen title. Frozen II occurred after a 3-year time jump, with Elsa now 24 and Anna 21.
However, this rumor was proven untrue after a review of The Art of Walt Disney book which showed a definitive answer that Prince Florian being 31-ish years old, is fabricated.
They were given an official number in the franchise line-up based on the chronological order in which their films were released, starting with Snow White as the first and original Disney Princess, with Cinderella being the second, followed by Aurora and so on.
Gaston pursues Belle, determined to marry her, as she is the most beautiful girl in the village and thus the only one good enough for him. He also finds her independence to be a thrilling challenge, and shows disdain for the Bimbettes who constantly fawn over him purely because of his appearance.
Gaston was Belle's greatest enemy. He wanted to marry her by any means necessary just because she was the most beautiful girl he laid eyes on. However, Belle strongly disliked Gaston for his snobbish, arrogant, and narcissistic personality and was the only girl in the village to not be infatuated with Gaston.
Notably, at the start of the film and musical play, Gaston did not seem truly evil. Rather, he was simply conceited, male-chauvinistic, boorish and rude than a true villain, but as time goes on his pride and obsession with Belle becomes so intense that it turns him into a twisted, sadistic and murderous monster.
