The Moors are an enchanted forest which inhabits numerous creatures. The forest was invaded by King Henry's Army, but they were defeated by Maleficent, the Forest Dragon, and the Spriggans. It was formerly ruled by Maleficent and later by Aurora.
Maleficent was born in an enchanted forest kingdom known as the Moors, bordering the human kingdom. Her parents were killed by humans, leaving her as an orphan.
With peace finally restored between the two kingdoms, Maleficent demolishes the wall of thorns as the barrier is no longer needed. She passes her crown to Aurora, making her Queen of both the human kingdom and the Moors, unifying the kingdoms forever.
During this time, Maleficent's species is identified as 'Dark Fey', although Maleficent's powers are unique to her due to her being the latest reincarnation of the powerful Phoenix.
