The original Green Lantern, Alan Scott's weakness to wood stemmed from his subconscious belief that his powers couldn't affect the material. The later Lanterns' weakness to the color yellow came from the Fear entity trapped within the Green Lantern Corps' central power battery.

Hal Jordan became the best Green Lantern because he could overcome almost any obstacle using pure willpower. Jordan even created a new power ring and battery using his own willpower.
The Green Lantern ring is energy-based, which gives Black Bolt control over Jordan's constructs. His ring is sentient and rather intelligent, but it would take time to counteract Bolt's power. Black Lanterns are vulnerable to white light and a combination of green light with another Corps' light. Once a black power ring is destroyed, the corpse it animates becomes inert. Kimiyo Hoshi and Halo can completely destroy Black Lanterns by using their light-based powers.
Weakness. Energy Interference: As the continuing power of the ring's connection of "universal hope", it has a tendency to cause a form of interference to other power sources.
However, with no Green Lantern nearby, the Blue Lanterns are stuck with flight and limited construct generation, making their Power Rings one of the weaker ones.
