It's best to watch Boba Fett after The Mandalorian, however, because there's so much crossover between the two series -- and one of the episodes serves as a sort of pilot for The Mandalorian season 3. Though it took a little while for its larger themes to come into focus, The Mandalorian's third season was ultimately a longform exploration of Mandalorian culture and history that reinforced how Din Djarin is part of something much larger than himself or his jobs, despite his insistence on working mostly solo.
This episode proceeds to do a lot of legwork to tell us what happens to all of the Imperial grunts when they lose to the good guys. The New Republic takes the promising ones and puts them in an amnesty program, where they're rehabilitated from their evil ways, sometimes through torturous means.
Grogu's mother is either Yaddle or some other female member of Yoda's species, but he has no father. Because just like Anakin, Grogu was born off the Will of the Force, with no dad, and that explains why he's so powerful at an age that's considered an infant for Yoda's species.
