A lot of MCU fans know Black Widow by the name Natasha Romanoff, but that's actually an alias. She was born Natalia Romanova and adopted the fake name “Natasha Romanoff” to evade her many enemies.
Natasha Romanoff was born in the Soviet Union as Natalia Alianovna Romanova (Наталия Альяновна Романова). Although her exact parentage is unknown, it is rumored that she is related to the late Romanov dynasty—the former rulers of Russia—but those claims have so far been unproven.
Adjusting Natalia Romanova to Natasha Romanoff was only a minor change, and it simply meant she took on the western equivalent of her Russian name; "Natasha" is a western form of Natalia, and "Romanoff" of Romanova.

Why does Yelena have a different last name than Natasha?
Yelena's full name follows an incorrect style of naming in Russian, which is quite an odd error by Marvel. Her lack of a patronymic name helps to prove that she and Natasha aren't biologically related but actually are adoptive sisters, which is shown in the MCU.
There are two possible explanations - either the Red Room training was so thorough her accent was embedded naturally rather than taught, or Natasha decided to carrying on using her U.S. voice as a way of escaping the emotional trauma of her previous life.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier established that Romanoff was born in 1984 and Black Widow's prologue introduced young Natasha (Ever Anderson) in 1995 when she was 11 years old. Meanwhile, young Yelena (Violet McGraw) was 6 years old in Black Widow's prologue, so she was born in 1989.
