Shatner explained that the iconic character was curious, courageous, and filled with awe and wonder, leaving the actor to regret not hitting the right note when he uttered Kirk's last words, 'Oh my,' at the point of his demise.
Shatner explained on the talk show that his problem with his original performance — which sees a bloodied Kirk say, “oh my,” before dying — was that the USS Enterprise captain sounded afraid of dying, rather than full of wonder at the prospect of the next adventure. “I think you die the way you live,” he said.

Spock is both a first and a last name ( his real long name is difficult to pronounce for humans, so Vulcans often shorten things) so he is “Mister Spock” or “Commander Spock” on the bridge but just Spock when they are talking privately.
The elder Spock died off-screen on New Vulcan on January 2, 2263. Ambassador Spock was 161 when he died in the Kelvin timeline, although his final death chronologically happened 12 years before his original Prime timeline death in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan.

The filming of the first movie was a disaster, and so Nimoy wanted no more to do with Spock or Star Trek. Jack B. Sowards wrote his first draft for Wrath of Khan with Spock in the story -- and killed him at the end of the first act.

My impression was that McCoy's usual relationship with Spock was needling him about his Vulcan culture of “logic,” which McCoy thought silly, irritating, and unhealthy. But if Spock needed help of a medical or situational nature, McCoy was always there for him.
The beloved Vulcan's full name is officially S'Chn T'Gai Spock. The name actually comes from a popular fan work-turned novel for The Original Series in Barbara Hambly's Ishmael which was published in 1985.
