This is Shrek's central emotional problem... He sees himself as an unlovable monster. By the end of the movie he realizes that nothing is what it seems and that all things must be judged by their actions (or 'it's what's on the inside that counts).
Shrek is the protagonist and hero in the film Shrek. In the beginning of this film, Shrek struggles with accepting himself as an ogre. He is essentially shunned by society, and this causes him to really re-evaluate all of the characteristics he once prided himself on.
Even though his background is something of a mystery, according to Shrek The Musical, it is revealed that on his seventh birthday, Shrek was sent away by his parents, because it was an ogre tradition. (The original book also has his parents evicting him from their swamp.)
This obviously was a very traumatic event that caused Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. This horror made Princess Fiona unable to express her feelings to Shrek because she felt no one would love her since she was not normal. She doubted her self-worth and did not have good self-esteem due to the PTSD.
SHREK does not need all the trappings for happiness. FIONA eventually stopped caring about what other people think, empowerment of full acceptance & self love when she independently CHOOSES to live her life as her true self – set free from everything that held her back & finding her happy ever after.
Shrek is about a story of an ogre who is represented to be ugly, feared and a terrifying protagonist that breaks the stereotypical expectations of the society. The Jail Tower is a location seen in Shrek 2. It was where Shrek, Donkey and Puss were incarcerated for creating a scene in Far Far Away, following their arrests on K.N.I.G.H.T.S. They weren't there for too long however, as their fairy tale friends busted them out.

In conclusion, Shrek's absence from Disney Plus can be attributed to the fact that it is not a Disney movie and the rights to the franchise are owned by Universal Pictures. Universal has chosen to keep Shrek exclusive to its own streaming service, Peacock, rather than licensing it to other platforms.
Situational Irony- Fiona ends up falling in love with shrek, the ugly orge instead of lord fraquaad. Dramatic Irony- When fiona sends donkey to get blue flowers, to get rid of him donkey doesnt know but we do.
At first, Donkey fears Shrek and runs away, but returns after seeing Shrek cry over his babies' toy. Having never seen an ogre cry before, Donkey decides to trust Shrek and befriends him.
Donkey tries to appeal to Shrek, but Shrek rejects him, angry that Donkey would talk about him with Fiona behind his back, and declares he will return to his swamp, alone ("Build A Wall").
You have to learn someone's name to get closer and so he pauses because he isn't comfortable with close relationships. He has no name, and has to make up one when he is asked by Donkey. At the beginning of the movie, he is reading a book, which at the end of the movie is revealed to have 'Shrek' on the cover.
Evil Figure with a Good Heart. The fire breathing dragon is seen as an evil figure because she is locked up in the castle with a chain. The dragon is bigger than Shrek and Donkey so their immediate thought is she can hurt them. She really is nice and she just shows her protection of Princess Fiona.
Fiona was cursed, so she had turned into an ogre between sunset and sunrise since she was little, but the curse was said to be broken when Fiona found true love, and their first kiss would lead her to take the form of her true love.
Fiona has her own struggles with both drug and alcohol abuse. Fiona was forced to grow up and become a maternal figure as a child. She never got to experience being a fun-loving, carefree teen and young adult. Unfortunately, she turns to drugs and alcohol to cope.
Fiona's biological father, Henry, died in 2017 shortly after she was born. Tucker came into the picture in 2021 and was introduced as a "huge, dark, and handsome" man who would hopefully be a compatible mate to Fiona's mom Bibi. The two hit it off and eventually had a baby boy named Fritz in 2022.
