The Patronus Charm - "Expecto Patronum" The likes of "Expelliarmus" and "Avada Kedavra" may be the most iconic incantations and spells in Harry Potter, but there may not be a more iconic singular moment of a wizard using a spell than Harry's "Expecto Patronum" in The Prisoner Of Azkaban.
1. Expecto Patronum. This is undoubtedly the most popular spell in the film series. This powerful defensive incantation uses a happy memory to conjure something positive, like a silvery-white animal that can chase off Dementors.
The most evil spell of them all – the Killing Curse. If you cast this on someone, and really mean it, you can callously and quickly kill them with a jet of green light.
Roughly translated, Expelliarmus – the Disarming Charm – means 'to drive out a weapon' and that's what it does: forces the subject to drop whatever they're holding. As the youngest Weasley, we're sure Ginny observed more than her fair share of unpleasant spells over the years but it was the Bat Bogey Hex she was famous for – and with good reason. Hermione explains that the hourglass is a Time-Turner; she has been using it all year to get to all her classes. Professor McGonagall instructed her to tell no one about it.
