The Moana attraction is part of a years-long updating of Epcot, located in the World Nature neighborhood. The World Celebration neighborhood is expected to open in December. The opening comes during the ongoing celebration of 100 years of Disney, with Epcot at its heart in Disney World.
Journey of Water, Epcot's new Moana-themed walk-through attraction, has officially opened to visitors at Walt Disney World in Florida. The self-guided, tropical-themed experience is the first Disney parks attraction inspired by the Walt Disney Animation Studios film Moana.
(Sept. 9, 2023) — Beginning Oct. 16, 2023, Walt Disney World Resort guests visiting EPCOT will be able to voyage into an all-new adventure with Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana.
EPCOT has a new guide map today featuring Journey of Water Inspired by Moana. The walk-through interactive experience officially opened today in the World Nature neighborhood of EPCOT.
Moana can currently be met in Adventureland at Disneyland (DLR), and during special ticketed events at WDW (MNSSHP and MVMCP). At Disney Aulani Moana can be found around the Waikohole Valley intermittently throughout the week.

Overall, Journey of Water is a great addition to Epcot and in my opinion is a must-do if you are at the park, just to see the rockwork and how impressive the landscaping of the area is.

The use of “Moana” makes Journey of Water accessible to Disney guests, especially kids, so they are drawn in by familiar characters, but the interactivity and sprinkling of facts and things guests can do at home to help the Earth's resources will likely distract guests from the movie characters, stealing the show away ...
Journey of Water is certainly a better counterpart to those pavilions than whatever was previously inside this area of Innoventions. With that said, Moana's Journey of Water is entirely separate from those pavilions once you're inside the water exploration trail.
