The Terminator film series has many branching timelines. Both Terminator and Terminator 2: Judgment Day are required viewing for each. Timeline 1 has only Terminator: Dark Fate in continuity with the previous two films and makes a trilogy.
For me, I consider all canon but a sort of branch timelines and loop situation. Like, T1 and T2 are a single story that always happens. Dark Fate, Sarah Connor Chronicles, and T3 are all branching timelines that stem from it.
