However, Zombie Spider-Man ends up killing Kingpin and all the Sinister Six minus Sandman, who in turn brutally kills the Spider-Man of this Earth. Due his actions, however, the zombified members of the Sinister Six kill his friends and Zombie Spider-Man kills them for good to prevent spreading the contagion.
Death Understandably, Sandman went into an homicidal rage and started to pummel Spider-Man into the ground, mistaking him for the Zombie Spider-Man that had killed his partners. Sandman then force fed himself to Spider-Man.
Sandman ended up killing all the zombies except Sentry. Uatu then sent the Sentry through time and he arrived back on Earth-2149, closing the time loop and containing the virus on Earth-Z and 2149 since it cannot be destroyed. Since Russell had been infected, Morbius sought a cure for his friend.
History. Through the means of an eternal time-loop, the Watcher of Earth-Z sent a zombified Sentry from his reality to infect Earth-2149 with the plague known as the Hunger. When the zombie Sentry arrived, the Avengers were sent to investigate. They were quickly infected and spread the virus to the other heroes.

However, upon arriving on the Golden Gate Bridge, the hordes of zombies proved too much for them to handle, and Stark was quickly overwhelmed by the horde, infected, and transformed into a zombie alongside his fellow Avengers, excluding T'Challa.
Unable to gain access to the fortress, presumably, Thor gets held up by the risen Deadite Legion, and at some point returns to New York, where he ends up with a handful of other zombified heroes. Later on, in the fight over eating the Silver Surfer, Thor is reduced to a charred skeleton, thus ending his undead life.

It was Smart Hulk's opinion that only he could do it, but it's possible that Thor too could have managed the snap, but perhaps not without suffering even worse side effects.
Can Thor Die Permanently? Within the MCU, they have established Thor as an immortal, making him an invaluable member of the Avengers and one of the most powerful beings to ever exist. As a result he can be killed in battle, but he will always return to his body one way or another.
