Whilst Odin is alive, Thor will never be more powerful. As soon as Odin died, Odinforce (powerful magic that came from his brothers who died in battle) was passed down to Thor, making him have the same power as Odin did, PLUS his own powers which will only get better and better over time.
During this, Odin will ride to fight Fenrisúlfr. During the battle, Fenrisúlfr will eventually swallow Odin, killing him, and Odin's son Víðarr will move forward and kick one foot into the lower jaw of the wolf. This foot will bear a legendary shoe "for which the material has been collected throughout all time".
Who can defeat Odin? That villain is the Mangog. First appearing in 1968's Thor #154, and created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, the Mangog is a composite being formed from the hatred of half a billion beings slain by Odin.
However, Thanos is still standing, and he forces Odin to unleash the full might of his power, the Odinforce. In an epic sequence, Thanos keeps advancing toward his foe, withstanding blast after blast of deadly energy. In the end, Odin is too strong, and Thanos is clearly beaten.
He has feats such as defeating Surtur (who can destroy a planet), conquering the 9 realms, and sealing away Hela. While there isn't much doubt that Thanos could beat Odin if he had all 6 stones, Odin could probably defeat Thanos if he only had one or two of them.
Odin and Zeus are considered "roughly" equals among the Council of Godheads in Marvel. I say roughly because Odin vastly surpasses Zeus in feats shown in comics, but it has been stated before that they are equals.
Odin. Odin is basically Thor and all the other Asgardians rolled into one—though he's even wiser, more experienced, and minus one eye. As the default King of Asgard, Odin is easily the most powerful being in his realm.
Odin shares most of his resistances with Zeus surprisingly enough. He reflects Electric damage, and he is completely immune to Light and Dark. Odin's Achilles heel is his weakness to Force.
He sacrificed his eye in Mimir's well and he threw himself on his spear Gungnir in a kind of symbolic, ritual suicide. He then hanged himself in Yggdrasil, the tree of life, for nine days and nine nights in order to gain knowledge of other worlds and be able to understand the runes.
Odin is killed by Fenrir who is then killed by Odin's son Vidarr. Thor kills Jörmungandr but succumbs to the serpent's poison after taking only nine steps after the battle and falls dead.
Kratos then joined the Spartan army in Rhodes, intent on destruction. Zeus, however, weakens Kratos and tricks him into abandoning his godly powers into the Blade of Olympus, which Zeus uses to kill him. Although he overcame all obstacles, Kratos was stunned at Zeus's betrayal and swore revenge as he died.
Odin is an immensely powerful cosmic being, on Par with entities like the eternals and even Galactus. Hulk may be able to make himself physically Stronger than Odin, but at the end of the day, Odin can warp reality itself, and could just make Hulk cease to be.
Thor. Can Thor beat Thanos? In the MCU he certainly would have, if only he had aimed for the head. The Asgardian Son of Odin was extremely close to ending Thanos at the end of Avengers: Infinity War.
Odin dominates Goku in intelligence and battle strategy. If there's anyone who can think their way around Goku's massive advantages, it's Odin. Goku beats Odin in physical capabilities, but Odin might just be too smart for him.
Certainly Zeus. Zeus in mythology is immortal and the only Olympian who even had a chance of defeating the giant Typhon, who is far more powerful than any of the beasts and monsters of Norse mythology.
Storming the palace and sacrificing Asgardian lives, Odin stood between Hela and the throne. Unable to kill his own daughter, Odin defeated Hela and imprisoned her using his own power to keep her at bay in another realm for eons.
In Thor: The Dark World, Odin makes it clear that they “are born, they live, they die, just as humans do”, to which Loki replies that “give or take, 5000 years” – so taking that into account, Odin was at least 5000 years old when he died in Ragnarok.
While Hercules may have the strength to literally destroy Thor's body, Thor can technically do the exact same thing to Hercules. The Olympian and the Asgardian are evenly matched in terms of both strength and durability.
On a normal day, Zeus would wreck Thanos, but he is never winning while Thanos has the Infinity Gauntlet. Thanos using it makes him the strongest being in the Marvel universe. To recap, Thanos using the Infinity Gauntlet killed half the living things in the universe with a thought.
DESTRUCTIVE POWER: Odin has quite a big advantage here, as he has destroyed galaxies in his battles. HAX: While Darkseid's omega beams are very Hax Odin is definitely superior in this category. Odin can basically do whatever he wants on a galactic scale.
Thanos Feared an Attack From Odin and He Might Have Been Planning One. However, it's possible that Odin kept his kids in the dark because he was preparing to take on Thanos all along.
