Bruce began his martial arts training with Wing Chun master, Yip Man (pictured), in Hong Kong, at 13. Bruce trained with Yip and Yip's top students until he left for the USA in 1959.
Ip Man was a greatly respected Wing Chun grandmaster who lived in Hong Kong for a significant portion of his life. During that time, he took a teenage Lee as a student and paved the way for Bruce Lee to become a martial arts expert.
While competing, Norris met Bruce Lee, who at the time was known for the TV series The Green Hornet. They developed a friendship, as well as a training and working relationship. In 1969, during the first weekend of August, Norris defended his title as world champion at the International Karate Championship.

If Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris fought in their primes, this would have been a very close fight in my opinion. I know Bruce won in the scripted movie version, but that's not reality. Bruce looked a bit faster than Chuck, but Chuck was stronger, 15 Kg heavier, and had more experience in tournament fighting.
