Jenna Ortega has dropped out of “Scream 7” due to her “Wednesday” Season 2 shooting schedule, Variety has confirmed. The news of her exit comes one day after her co-star Melissa Barrera was fired from the horror movie due to Barrera's social media posts about Israel and Palestine.
Additional cast included Lance Henriksen as film producer John Milton, Patrick Dempsey as detective Mark Kincaid, Patrick Warburton as bodyguard Steven Stone, and Kelly Rutherford as Christine Hamilton, girlfriend to Cotton Weary.
Sam now enjoys a secret romance with neighbor Danny, played by Josh Segarra, and Tara and Chad also spend much of the movie flirting before finally kissing towards the end.
Though the seventh film is still in the works, the franchise has hit a bump in the road as it has been reported that several cast members will no longer return for the sequel.

Tara Carpenter is nearly killed by Amber Freeman. Amber firstly slashed Tara's stomach, then broke her anckle, pierced Tara's hand and finally stabbed Tara twice in the back and once in the chest. However, Tara survived the attack and became the first victim, who was not killed in the opening.
She is stabbed seven times by a new Ghostface entity but survives. Later, her estranged older sister Samantha returns after over 5 years to reveal she is actually her half-sister, and the birth child of serial killer Billy Loomis.
Before Scream 7 went through a whole creative reset, Billy was expected to return in Scream 7 as there are many unanswered questions about Sam and her link to Billy. However, now that Barrera is no longer part of Scream 7, bringing Billy back wouldn't make sense as Sam was the one who had hallucinations of him.
“Scream 6” rides the momentum of the previous film and ups the ante in every way. It's funnier, scarier and much much bloodier. If you aren't a fan of gore, walk into this film with some caution. The kills are more frequent and take up more screen time than ever before.
At the hospital, Tara and Richie are attacked by Ghostface, but are saved by an arriving Dewey and Sam. Sam, Tara and Richie escape, but Dewey is killed when he attempts to finish off Ghostface. Sidney arrives in town after learning of Dewey's death and meets both Gale and Sam at the hospital.

Scream 6 sets the college scene by converting McGill University into the fictional Blackmore University and having Tara and her friends attend a college party at the start of the film. Given the time frame of Scream 6, Tara is approximately 20 years old, while Sam should be about 26.
In Scream 3, the current Ghostface uses Maureen's synthesized voice and image to taunt Sidney and lure her out of hiding. The killer is unveiled as Roman Bridger, who reveals that he is Maureen's son and Sidney's half-brother.
Casey Becker is a fictional character from the Scream franchise, first appearing in the 1996 film Scream. The character was created by Kevin Williamson and originated by American actress Drew Barrymore. Casey was subsequently played by Heather Graham in Scream 2 for its movie-within-a-movie scenes.
