Hank Pym had a few adventures as Ant-Man alongside his research assistant and eventual lover, Janet van Dyne as the Wasp. Together, they helped found the Avengers and remained with the team for years as Pym evolved into his many costumed identities like Giant-Man, Goliath, and Yellowjacket.

During the flood in New York City in the beginning of the Ultimatum event, Wasp was separated from her team and was found by Hank Pym and Hawkeye dead and eaten by Blob. Pym avenged her death by biting off Blob's head.
