Frances Lee McCain was born on 28 July 1944 in York, Pennsylvania, USA. She is an actress, known for Back to the Future (1985), Gremlins (1984) and Footloose (1984).
In 1984, she co-starred in the film Gremlins as Lynn Peltzer, the mother of main character, Billy Peltzer. Also that year, she played Ethel McCormack, mother to Kevin Bacon's character, in Footloose.
Stripe was very hostile to Gizmo the Mogwai. His dislike for Gizmo may have been because he did not want the other Mogwai to refer to Gizmo as their leader because they were born from him.
