Jake's mother has passed away in a car accident, and Jake's father, Luke, generally disapproves of his son's interests. Jake has dinner with his father, uncle Logan, aunt Bree, and his cousin, Junior. Jake's father begins drinking heavily at dinner. Junior's parents highlight on his recent accomplishments.
However, Jake is the first LGBT protagonist in the Child's Play series, with Tiffany being an antagonist and the others being side characters. Like Nica Pierce, his whole family was killed by Chucky.

Are Jake and Devon dating Chucky?
Chucky focuses on a teen named Jake, who started the show as a depressed loner who bought a possessed Chucky doll. He soon became friends with school bully Lexy and his crush, Devon, a classmate who has a true crime podcast. Now, three seasons in, Devon and Jake are boyfriends.
Jake takes Chucky to school the next day, hoping to sell it at a good price; he is then bullied by Lexy Cross, his cousin Junior's girlfriend. At night, Andy Barclay calls Jake and suggests caution with the doll. Upon confirming that Chucky works without batteries, Jake throws him away.
Chucky breaks out of the pen and electrocutes Tiffany in her bath, killing her. Afterwards he completes another voodoo chant that transfers Tiffany's soul into the Belle doll.
Chucky and Tiffany make plans to transfer their souls into Redman and Jennifer. Tiffany knocks them out and uses a turkey baster to inseminate Jennifer with Chucky's semen, intending to use her baby as a host for Glen's soul.
After her husband's funeral, she is kidnapped by Charles, but manages to call the police. Charles angered by her rejection, pulls out a knife and stabs her in the stomach before fleeing the oncoming police. Because she was pregnant with Nica, his actions cause her to be paraplegic.
Chucky subsequently murders Logan and Bree's family maid and reasons that he is trying to help Jake and that some people deserve to die, including his bully Lexy. When Chucky disappears, Jake fears he has gone to a Halloween party hosted by one of his classmates, Oliver, to try and murder Lexy.
Just then the power goes out, and he goes down into the basement to check the fuse box. He flips the switches until the power comes back on, and sees Chucky standing in front of him. He vomits the whiskey he had drank earlier at Lucas' bare feet, which touches an exposed electric cable and electrocutes him to death.
Eventually, Tiffany decides to give up killing to raise her child, but Chucky refuses. The two settle on a plan to transfer their souls into human bodies, and Glen and Glenda into two separate twins, created by impregnating actress Jennifer Tilly with Chucky's sperm in a weird bit of meta humor.
In order to get Glen's soul into a human body, Chucky's semen is inserted by Tiffany into Jennifer so she can bear a child for Glen to use. As the two awake the next morning, unaware of the events of the night before, Jennifer suddenly experiences morning sickness and realizes that she is pregnant.
Through flashbacks, Chucky explains that he was a friend of the family. He was in love with Sarah, but she was married and pregnant with Nica. Chucky killed Sarah's husband and kidnapped her some time after the funeral. After Sarah rejects him, Chucky stabs her in the stomach before fleeing from the police.
Now going by "Tiffany Ray", Tiffany plans to transport her soul into the body of Jennifer Tilly (who happens to be playing her in the film). They also plan to impregnate her and put Glen's soul in the baby's body. Their plan is successful, as Jennifer swiftly gives birth to two babies, a boy and a girl.
Played by Jennifer Tilly, Ms. Valentine was killed, became a living doll, and then assumed the role of Chucky's murderous partner in crime before hopping into the body of the actual Jennifer Tilly five years later during Seed of Chucky.
She is his accomplice in murder and love and has the same killer instincts. Tiffany loves Chucky, even in his doll form, and in Bride of Chucky, she recovers his body from the authorities so she can raise him from the dead yet again.
However, after they managed to seemingly hypnotise a Chucky doll into being good, nicknamed "Good Chucky", Nadine stuck by his side as a guardian before she was ultimately murdered by him, devastating Jake, Devon, and Lexy.
Unfortunately, as is so often the case, that Good Guy doll has been possessed by the spirit of a serial killer, the notorious Charles Lee Ray. After gruesomely murdering several people in Andy's life, Chucky attempts to transfer his soul into Andy so that he can be a real boy.
Clearly male and sharing a distinctly similar voice, the caller has to be none other than Andy Barclay. Portrayed by Alex Vincent in the original Child's Play, longtime fans will recognize Andy as Chucky's original victim and survivor.
