In Superboy #126 (Jan. 1966) "Krypto's Family Tree", Krypto's father's name is given as Zypto, his grandfather as Nypto, and his great-grandfather as Vypto.
Krypto's pre- and post-Crisis origins are relatively similar. He was the family dog of the House of El on Krypton and was used as a test subject for the rocket that would eventually send Superman to Earth.
History. As a puppy, Ace was raised by a family until one day, he saved the parents' toddler daughter from falling down the stairs, but in doing so, bit her arm. Since this made the parents believe he attacked her, he was sent to an animal shelter where he would continue to live as an adult.

In the final (noncanonical) pre-Crisis Superman story, Alan Moore's Whatever Happened To The Man of Tomorrow?, Krypto sacrificed his life to save Superman by biting the throat out of the Kryptonite Man. The villain died, but Krypto was irradiated by him and died as well.

Monkey D. Garp, also known as "Garp the Fist", is an extremely famous and powerful Marine Vice Admiral. He is the father of Monkey D. Dragon, the paternal grandfather of Monkey D. Luffy, and the adoptive grandfather of Portgas D. Ace.
Who kills Ace in One Piece? Admiral Akainu is the one who kills Ace in One Piece. Akainu's killing blow is when he punches Ace in the stomach with his magma abilities, resulting in a hole around Ace's torso. Ace falls in front of Luffy, much to Luffy's horror.
