William "Little Bill" Dagget, Jr. is the main antagonist of the popular 1992 western film Unforgiven. He is a corrupt and sadistic cowboy in Big Whiskey who was active in 1881. He is the arch-nemesis of William Munny, the main protagonist. He was portrayed by the legendary Gene Hackman.
Ned decides he's had enough and rides for home. The Kid, who boasts that he has killed five men in the past, finally gets his chance to kill the other cowboy, Quick Mike, the one who had sliced Delilah's face.
Ned is later captured and flogged to death by Little Bill to learn the whereabouts of Will and the Kid. Will takes the Kid with him to the cowboys' ranch, directing him to ambush Quick Mike in the outhouse and shoot him.

Why does Ned get executed?
Fearing for his daughters, Ned makes a public confession of his "treason". The sadistic Joffrey, however, has Ned executed anyway for his own amusement and forced Sansa to watch Ned's severed head mounted on a spike.
In a climactic gun battle, Munny kills the unarmed tavern owner and five deputies and then savagely murders Daggett. Eastwood acquired the script of Unforgiven in the early 1980s.
After taking care of his bloody business in the town of Big Whiskey, the screenplay ends with Munny returning to his Kansas homestead where he has a tender reunion with his children, calling his daughter "a lady" and gently praising his son for taking care of the farm.
Unforgiven is an original screenplay by American screenwriter David Webb Peoples. However, Peoples has admitted that his screenplay was inspired by American author Glendon Swarthout's book The Shootist (1975), a story about an aging gunman with cancer.
While it speculates on the success he may or may not have had, the point is to deny us the "happily ever after" we crave. The point is to not make Will a hero with some kind of prosperous career after the events of Big Whiskey. Will does what he does, and it's best that we know as little about him as possible.
UNFORGIVEN is not simply about its plot—about whether William Munny collects the bounty, and about who gets killed in the process—but also about what it means to kill somebody, and how a society is affected when people get killed.
This turns out to be both an ode to a dying genre (the central characters are old and regretful) and a film with a powerful, anti-violence moral. Eastwood is at the top of his game both in terms of his screen presence (never has he played such a fragile, human character in a western) and as a director.
The show's main character, Little Bill, is a fictionalized younger version of Cosby; the show's executive producer, Janice Burgess, described the character as "little Bill Cosby." Each episode features Little Bill learning a lesson while interacting with his large family and group of friends.
Munny's life is not an ideal one; he has a lifetime of killing behind him, and he's left to raise his two children in isolation on a farm far away from any semblance of a civilized community. Munny knows he is a bad man, and he's afraid of what he could do if he ever underwent another mission.

The set of Unforgiven's main town, Big Whiskey, has been fully preserved on a sprawling Alberta, Canada estate known as The Ranch at Fisher Creek, which also hosted Eastwood, Gene Hackman, Morgan Freeman and other stars during the filming of the movie.
The Los Angeles Times also praised Eastwood's performance and credibility as an action hero at the age of 78. Kenneth Turan said of Eastwood's performance, "It is a film that is impossible to imagine without the actor in the title role.
"I've killed women and children. I've killed everything that walks or crawls at one time or another. And I'm here to kill you, Little Bill, for what you done to Ned." Arguably the best scene in the entire movie, this line, spoken by Will to Bill, was cold and true.
William Munny doesn't forgive Little Bill for killing his friend, so Little Bill is unforgiven. The prostitutes don't forgive Quick Mike and Davey Bunting, so they're unforgiven, too.
He reformed after meeting the woman who would become his wife, retiring as a criminal and settling down to raise their two children and run a pig farm. After his wife's death, Munny became a recluse, rarely leaving his homestead as he nursed his grief.
If you're not overly familiar with the Frontier masterpiece that is Unforgiven, allow us to give you some additional context, as it's almost impossible to do Unforgiven justice without understanding it as a bookend to Clint's own personal journey in the Western genre.
