Eöl, always called the "Dark Elf", was an Elf of Beleriand and metallurgist of high skill. One of the Sindar, he lived alone in Nan Elmoth, nominally part of Doriath.
Adar is an elf who was manipulated with evil magic. He served under Morgoth and claims that he killed Sauron. He does not seem to recognize Halbrand as Sauron, and yet he carries out what we can assume is his master's evil bidding by setting in motion the events that burn the Southlands and create Mordor.
While there are not any Black elves in the Lord of the Rings books or films, nothing about Tolkien's source material explicitly precludes a Black elf from existing.
Eöl, known as the Dark Elf, was the great smith who dwelled within Nan Elmoth. He was akin to Thingol of the Teleri of the First Age. His face was noble yet grim, "and his eyes could see deep into shadows and dark places", being night-sighted. Eöl built up a friendship with the Dwarves of the Blue Mountains.
According to Galadriel, when the Elves first awoke at the beginning of the First Age, Adar was possibly one of many of them who were taken by Morgoth. He was tortured and twisted, becoming one of the first Orcs, a new and ruinous form of life.

Is Adar actually Sauron?
One thing episode 6 of The Rings of Power completely puts to rest is the theory that Adar could be Sauron. Adar certainly knew Sauron, but he wasn't a fan. He tells Galadriel that in his quest to master Middle-earth, Sauron sacrificed many of Adar's children. Because of this, Adar killed Sauron.
Because of his age, Adar would have had a prominent place in Morgoth's army, but he was still subservient to Sauron. So, when Sauron took over, Adar became his servant until Sauron started to experiment on Orcs. Because they were his children, Adar rebelled, and to his knowledge, they killed Sauron.
And the Teleri elves have silver or dark. Elves from both the Noldor and Teleri lines still reside in Middle-earth. From there, fans have to follow Tolkien's intricate linages, but simply put, as a Sindarin Elf, Legolas is a descendant of the Telerian elves.
Thus, Galadriel's dark form in Jackson's The Lord of the Rings personified what would have occurred had the Lady of Lothlorien given in to temptation and taken the One Ring for herself. She would have succumbed to evil because the Ring was indomitable, even with her power.
The Dark Elves were defeated and nearly exterminated by the Asgardian army under King Bor, with Malekith and several dozen other warriors going into hibernation for 5,000 years until the next Convergence.
It was assumed by Galadriel that Adar was one of the Moriondor, the first Elves to be corrupted by Morgoth during the Years of the Trees in Utumno. Subsequent generations of the newly realized race of Orcs considered him to be their "father", and followed him willingly.
Galadriel is one of the Calaquendi, meaning "Elves of the Light" in Quenya. Some of the earliest Elves to come into existence, the Calaquendi dwelt in Valinor with the gods during the halcyon Years of the Trees, which predate even the First Age of Middle-earth.
The majority of her powers come from her Ring of Power, Nenya, the Ring of Water. The ring, also known by the names the White Ring and the Ring of Adamant, is one of the three Rings of Power given to the Elves of Middle-earth in the Second Age.
Adar also claimed to have killed Sauron after watching Sauron experiment on the orcs, whom Adar sees as his children. It's possible Adar was pretending not to recognize Sauron as part of a ruse. But Adar also may truly think he did kill Sauron, but he failed and now the dark lord has returned in a disguise.
Halbrand does not deny his heroism out of bashful humility, though; he knows that as Sauron, he's not the hero she wants him to be for the Southlands -- not when his plans involve scorching it into Mordor. No, Halbrand was never a hero, nor did he ever claim to be.
Additionally, while he was in his weakened state, Galadriel could hold him off through the power of will alone. However, if Sauron had his One Ring and faced off in a battle against Galadriel, it's unlikely that there would be much she could do.
For those that haven't read Tolkien's work, it's easy to see why many audiences suspect Gandalf and Galadriel are in love. After all, many of their interactions in The Hobbit trilogy practically scream romance. However, their relationship remains purely platonic in Tolkien's source material.
Morgoth, the first to reign terror upon Middle-earth, was more powerful than Sauron and commanded an army of dragons and Balrogs. While both Morgoth and Sauron were cunning, Morgoth's rule and terror lasted longer and his corruption spread further, making him more formidable in the Lord of the Rings universe.
Legolas does not marry or have any children, based on the appendix of The Lord of the Rings. Regardless of who his mother was, Legolas is the last of his line. When he sails into the West at the beginning of the Fourth Age, he leaves no family members behind.
It is later mentioned that Tauriel is a talented warrior and was therefore made leader of the Mirkwood border guards. Legolas, the son of Mirkwood's Elven king Thranduil, is indicated to be attracted to her, but as she is a lowly Silvan Elf, she does not believe herself worthy of him.
No, Legolas was a Silvan Elf whereas Galadriel was Noldorin. It is possible that Legolas was related to some of the Elves of Lothlorien, but not to Galadriel.
The orcs are all Adar's offspring, and he cares for them, just as he is the only figure orcs truly care for in all of Tolkien's Middle-earth. The use of the word “Father” when it comes to Adar thus feels more emotional than just a factual title.
That's not necessarily the case, though, as Tolkien's own writings prove that Sauron was not a fan of his followers referring to him by his given name. In other words, while it still seems likely that Adar isn't Sauron, the door isn't nearly as closed on that possibility as some Rings of Power viewers might think.
