Facilier, also known as "The Shadow Man", is the main antagonist of Disney's 49th full-length animated feature film The Princess and the Frog, which is based on the 2002 children's novel The Frog Princess by E.D.
Dr. Facilier makes for an incredibly memorable Disney villain in The Princess and the Frog. Obviously, a bad guy using petro voodoo who also had friends on the "other side" was bad news, and most people avoided him, knowing they were better off that way.
Facilier would have been Mama Odie's son, who followed the path of the dark arts, unlike his mother. In this same script, there was to be a showdown between the two of them, which would have converged into a major battle during the Mardi Gras festivities.
Facilier doesn't qualify as Pure Evil given his apparent tragic past, as he implies that he was shunned and ignored by the rich and wealthy of New Orleans, coupled with his supposed sympathy towards the city's poor.

Facilier begs for his life but one of the Shadow Demons grab his own shadow, thus causing him to be pulled to the ground. Still in hysteria and pleading for his life, Facilier is dragged towards the portal by his Friends, before being pulled into it and thus dying.

She apparently already knows Tiana and Naveen's desire to become human again but knows that they need something much more. She tries to tell them that during her gospel number, “Dig a Little Deeper”.

There are several major drawbacks to this power, primarially being that Facilier cannot use his powers on himself, only on others, hence why he requires Lawrence to impersonate Naveen. Another serious drawback is the increasing debt he continues to run up with the voodoo spirits.
