Megara is a figure in ancient Greek and Roman mythology. She is a Theban woman who is given to Hercules (Greek name Herakles) as a bride. The couple have a happy marriage and have several children together.
One of these lands was called Calydon. This is where Deianira lived. She was the princess of the land, the daughter of King Oeneus and Queen Althaea. When Hercules arrived on Calydon and saw the princess, he immediately fell in love.
Upon convincing Hercules to take a day off, they share a romantic evening during which Meg realizes she has unwillingly begun to fall in love with him, although she denies feeling this way.
In their first meeting in the episode Hercules and the Aetolian Amphora, Meg wants to forget all about her ex-boyfriend (later shown to be Prince Adonis) and shows very little to no remorse, but manipulate the young Hercules into helping her steal a jar of Lethe water.

Apollodorus says that at the age of 18, and during the Cithaeronian lion hunt, Herakles slept with 50 girls in 50 nights. (This averages out to about seven minutes each.) He also states that Herakles thought that he was sleeping with the same girl every night.
The next biggest age gap is between Hercules and Meg, with Hercules thought to be 18 and Meg 28 in the 1997 film. Although Meg continually rejects Hercules throughout the film, she relents at the end!

Deianira picked up some of the centaur's blood and saved it. Later, she put it onto a cloak she'd woven for Hercules, hoping it would renew his love for her. The blood, of course, was not a love potion, but a deadly poison instead, and its touch burned Hercules' skin.
After defeating the Minyans at Orchomenos, King Creon offered his eldest daughter, Megara, to Hercules as a bride in reward for his prowess in battle. Together, Hercules and Megara had anywhere between three and eight children.
