LeFou (which translates to "the fool" in French) is the secondary antagonist of Disney's 1991 animated feature film, Beauty and the Beast. He is Gaston's snide, accident-prone sidekick.
LeFou (occasionally also spelled as "Le Fou"; French for "The Madman", and also a phonetic pun on "The Fool") is a local villager who is Gaston's bumbling-but-loyal sidekick (and punching bag); he is often mistreated by Gaston, but he doesn't seem to mind.
LeFou has what is basically an unrequited crush on Gaston throughout the movie, and at the end comes to the realization that he is gay and acknowledges the reality that Gaston won't go for him.

Joshua Ilan Gad (born February 23, 1981) is an American actor. He is known for voicing Olaf in the Frozen franchise, playing Elder Arnold Cunningham in the Broadway musical The Book of Mormon, and playing Le Fou in the live-action adaptation of Disney's Beauty and the Beast.
During the movie, we find out all the petals have nearly fallen off the rose, and the curse has been in place for 10 years. This makes sense if the Beast is nearly 21 - and was thus cursed when he was 10-11 years old.
