Most likely, the goal is to inject the Stormtroopers with Force serum/blood/midi-chlorian vitamins, make them Force-sensitive, and reassert Imperial control. So, we can expect Gideon—in the last four episodes—to try and kidnap Baby Yoda, take some more blood, and fire up his wrecking crew.

It was believed that Grogu would eventually become a victim of Kylo Ren's destruction of Luke's Jedi Order. However, The Book of Boba Fett revealed that Grogu chose to follow the Way of the Mandalorian rather than become a Jedi, sparing him from Kylo Ren's wrath.
Given that Grogu, Yoda, and Yaddle are the only known canon members of their species, it makes sense why some would try to draw a connection between the three of them. While Star Wars hasn't disproved the theory, it's highly unlikely that Yoda or Yaddle were Grogu's biological parents.
At the time of The Mandalorian story, it is pretty clear that Moff Gideon is not a Sith Lord even though he has the Darksaber in his possession nor does he have any links to the Jedi. Moff Gideon is nothing more than one of the Empire's existing bad guys who officially worked for the Imperial Security Bureau.
To an Imperial officer, this Jedi did nothing but inspire terror. In a few short years, Luke had brought down the Empire, blown up two Death Stars, killed the Emperor and somehow gotten rid of Darth Vader. So, while Moff Gideon's terror might seem dramatic at first, it was completely warranted.
Season 3 starts strong with Din Djarin's mission and introduces clone army based on Moff Gideon's genetic template. Dr. Pershing's cloning research leads to creation of Snoke, with ties to Palpatine's futile efforts for immortality.
99 was a disabled clone of the Mandalorian bounty hunter Jango Fett who served the cloning facilities and performed janitorial duties at Tipoca City on the planet Kamino during the Clone Wars. He died during the Battle of Kamino in 21 BBY.

Given the rarity of his species in the galaxy, along with the fact that the only other two known members of Grogu's species were both living in the Temple when he was born, it seems likely that Grogu is the child of Yoda and Yaddle and was born to help preserve their rare species.
