The young Prince T'Challa was played by Divine Love Konadu-Sun who was asked in an interview with POC Culture what it meant to be a part of Wakanda Forever. The eight-year-old Konadu-Sun described it as being “very exciting” and “wonderful”. “It's definitely very exciting. It was wonderful,” the young actor said.
Having given Shuri enough space, T'Challa's former girlfriend Nakia (Lupita Nyong'o) steps out onto the beach with a little boy (Divine Love Konadu-Sun). She introduces him as Toussaint, the son she secretly had with T'Challa.

At the end of the film fans are introduced to T'Challa's son Toussaint, also known as Prince T'Challa (Divine Love Konadu-Sun), who is being raised by his mother Nakia in Haiti, away from the pressures of the throne.

Is the little boy at the end of Wakanda Forever Chadwick Boseman's son?
The boy reveals that Toussaint is his Haitian name and his Wakandan name is T'Challa, son of T'Challa. The scene works as both a tribute to Chadwick Boseman and a means to allow for a T'Challa to continue to exist in the MCU.

In 2018, Nakia, pregnant with her son, was kept away when the battle with aliens occurred. She and her son then survived the Snap. After learning that T'Challa and Shuri had disappeared, she and her son, without telling anyone, moved to Haiti. Making the move and grieving the losses wasn't an easy feat for her.
It's likely that Toussaint will have a much larger role in future MCU storylines, potentially taking up the mantle of Black Panther and even sitting on the throne of Wakanda.
In the MCU, Riri Williams is a 19-year-old MIT student and genius inventor who developed a vibranium-detecting machine that was putting Namor's (Tenoch Huerta) underwater kingdom in danger. Riri also built a suit of armor inspired by those of Iron Man, and she had already been testing it around the city.
Vibranium was created by Marvel comics in 1966, first appearing in Daredevil #13. Originally shrouded in mystery, the fictional metal was fleshed out across various comic lines over the next few years. Vibranium is actually an alien metal that crashed to earth, hence its fantastical properties.
Nakia revealed that sometime after the events of Black Panther and before Avengers: Infinity War, she and T'Challa had a son. They may even have been secretly married. As it stands, this doesn't make much narrative sense since T'Challa was openly asking Nakia to be his queen in the first film.
Namor utters his catchphrase from the comic books, "imperius rex," but Shuri counters with a triumphant "Wakanda Forever!" and blows them both up. Namor, the child without love. With Namor apparently defeated as she holds a spear to his throat, Shuri finds herself thinking back over the events of the film.
During a subsequent duel with T'Challa, Killmonger is killed by Monica Rambeau, whom he had previously captured and imprisoned. Killmonger's young son is last seen swearing vengeance against Black Panther, much like N'Jadaka had done years earlier after the death of his own father.
The movie reveals early on that Nakia spent the last six years away from Wakanda primarily working at a Wakandan outreach center in Haiti. Black Panther 2's post-credits scene explained the real reason why this move was made, as she left Wakanda to raise her T'Challa's son, Prince Toussaint.
Going by the Haitian name of Toussaint, T'Challa and Nakia's son was likely born shortly before Thanos' attack. Nakia reveals that Queen Ramonda was the only one who knew of this secret.
Toussaint Louverture led a successful slave revolt and emancipated the slaves in the French colony of Saint-Domingue (Haiti). A formidable military leader, he turned the colony into a country governed by former black slaves as a nominal French protectorate and made himself ruler of the entire island of Hispaniola.
As it currently stands, there is no Black Panther 3 release date, since Marvel is yet to officially confirm the sequel. Assuming that does happen, then the sequel is still likely a few years off. The MCU has grown to be more expansive, and already has a packed slate running that includes movies releasing in 2026.
So to recap. Shuri is 18 years old in Black Panther, 20 years old in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, and around 21 in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
Nakia confides to Shuri that yes, her son is indeed the son of T'Challa: a true heir to the Wakandan throne. She also reveals that she wasn't at T'Challa's funeral because he wasn't ready for his son to be revealed. Shuri asks if her mother had had a chance to see the child, to which Nakia says yes. Why the secrecy?
My exclusive today is Chadwick Boseman and T'Challa's legacy will continue in and beyond Black Panther: Wakanda Forever through T'Challa's son with Nakia! That's right. They have a child!
But, it's revealed in the mid-credits scene that T'Challa had sent Nakia away as she was pregnant with their child, and he wanted his heir to be raised away from Wakanda.
