Joker 2 is heading our way in October 2024 and the highly-anticipated sequel, officially titled Joker: Folie à Deux, has completed filming ahead of its release. The Joker sequel will see Joaquin Phoenix reprise his role as Arthur Fleck who, after the events of the first movie, might well just be Joker now.

Gaga joined the film (reportedly a musical epic about Joker's romance with a psychiatrist at Arkham Asylum) as Harley Quinn in the summer of 2022, with production eventually wrapping in early 2023.

In addition to that, Joker was set many years before Margot Robbie's Harleen Quinzel became Harley Quinn, so it makes sense that she won't play the role in Joker 2, instead leaving the spot open for another actress and a completely different interpretation of Harley Quinn.
