In March 2022, Marvel Studios was revealed to be developing a project featuring Richard Rider / Nova, with Sabir Pirzada writing. It will be a Special Presentation released on Disney+.
The primary version of Nova, Richard Rider, has a clear path to how he could debut in the MCU. Following the events of Avengers: Infinity War, the planet Xandar — home of the Nova Corps — was decimated by the Mad Titan Thanos in his pursuit of the Power Stone.
Richard Rider, better known as Nova, is a minor character in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy. An Earth-born Galactic War hero and founder of the Resistance against the Chitauri in the wake of Xandar's fall, he is the last known acting leader of Nova Corps.
Teenager Sam Alexander is the cosmic hero Nova and through his Nova helmet, he goes on to co-found the Champions to protect the universe and his home planet Earth.

Why does Nova hate the Renegades?
Turns out Nova's father had made a deal with the Renegades to stop helping Ace Anarchy if they defended him, and the Renegades didn't fulfill their promise. This event becomes the main reason why Nova hates the Renegades and think they deserve death, because they couldn't fulfill that one promise.
Her fingerprints were mutilated to conceal her identity so that she could join the Renegades. Nova wears a dark hood and a metal face mask over the lower half of her face to conceal her identity. She also wears a bracelet that was created by her father, which holds a star in the empty prongs, drawn by Adrian Everhart.
Nova also has energy projection powers that can keep Thanos in one place if nothing else. Overall, Nova alone could beat Thanos. However, the more help used to beat him, the better.
The upcoming Nova TV series in the MCU is linked to Thanos due to the character's origin story and the destruction of Xandar by the Mad Titan. Despite the MCU's focus on the multiverse and new villains like Kang, it's difficult to completely separate from Thanos in the Multiverse Saga.
While he may not seem as powerful at face value, Nova has much greater feats than Captain Marvel, many of which showed during the many events he was a part of.
Nova derives his powers from an energy source called the Nova Force which all Nova Corps Centurions wield. This energy was transferred to Rider by the Nova Centurion Rhomann Dey.
Chris Pratt's days of playing Peter Quill will continue, as Guardians of the Galaxy 3's post-credits scene confirmed that the Legendary Star-Lord will return. Where that will happen is less clear.
Adam Warlock was a member of the Nova Corps that helped keep the peace on Knowhere, the decapitated head of dead Celestial that acted as Battleworld's moon.

As soon as I read the scene where Nova goes to get her bracelet from Magpie and sees the bullet, I knew that detail wasn't for nothing, and meant Magpie = Evie! I loved the conclusion, but it's so sad Magpie and Nova don't know they're sisters.
