Lady Octopus (Carolyn Trainer), also known as Doctor Octopus II, is a supervillain appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, primarily as an enemy to the superheroes Spider-Man and Scarlet Spider.
Olivia Octavius/Doctor Octopus is Kathryn Hahn's first animated role in a Marvel production and the first Marvel role she played. Her second role was as Agatha Harkness in WandaVision. Being Doctor Octopus, Olivia's design incorporates octagons in many parts of it, with her glasses and face being octagonal.
Co-director Bob Persichetti proposed the gender-switched role as a subversive twist; when the production cast Kathryn Hahn (“Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation”) as her voice, Sony Animation finally believed that she would make a formidable villain.

Why did Doc Ock marry Aunt May?
Beforehand, a distant relative of Aunt May's had passed away, leaving her to inherit a nuclear facility of all things. This was what Doc Ock sought by marrying her, though his mission would become far more difficult than simply reading off his vows.
Carolyn Trainer made a small appearance in "Secret War". She now calls herself Lady Octopus to distinguish her from her mentor. She was given a new suit of armor by Lucia von Bardas and Tinkerer. She and Hobgoblin V were sent to assassinate Captain America, but were defeated.
This version is a female variation of Otto Octavius named Dr. Olivia "Liv" Octavius. However, this is unassociated with Disney in any way, purely a Sony Pictures Animation project. Lady Octopus was first introduced in The Amazing Spider-Man #406 (October 1995).
Trivia. Similar to the Doc Ock from the 2018 film Into the Spider-Verse, this version of Doc Ock is female instead of male. Doc Ock is one of the villains that debuted in the first season, alongside Green Goblin and Rhino.

Her fate was much more clear in a deleted scene from the movie. In the cut scene, Doctor Octopus jumps willingly into the dimensional portal and says, "The power of the Multiverse in the palm of my hand." The portal then closes. This suggests that she survived and is now in another alternate dimension.
