It makes them think they can defy the will of a king! Runeard voicing his disapproval of magic. King Runeard is the posthumous main antagonist of Disney's 2019 animated feature film, Frozen II. He was the ruler of Arendelle, and the father of King Agnarr.
In Frozen, Hans goes from a courtly charmer to a power-hungry villain. According to Hyrum Osmond, one of the supervising animators for Hans, Hans initially appears as a handsome, dashing character. The crew wanted the audience to fall in love with him and the relationship he could have with Anna.
Like many villains, Hans is arrogant and power-hungry, visiting Arendelle in order to rule the kingdom by any means, revealing that his only desire is to become king, prepared to rid anyone necessary in any way he can for his quest for power, making him amongst Disney's more complex villains.
Hans reveals he didn't actually love Anna, but was only using her to become the king of Arendelle. He reveals his matured plot to marry Anna, kill Elsa and become king of Arendelle through ascension, verbally abusing her in the process by pointing out how easy she was to deceive compared to her sister.

When he first meets Anna, before knowing who she is, they sort of sink into each other's eyes. So Hans does find Anna genuinely attractive - at first. However, when he gets to know her better his opinion changes, very dramatically so.

Say the names quickly in sequence to hear the similarity. According to Jennifer Lee, Anna is 18 years old in the film, while both Elsa and Kristoff are 21 years old and Hans is 23 years old.
Unlike traditional love tropes, Anna and Kristoff are not getting married at the end of the show. Rather, it is the start of their relationship. We can see them falling in love – that's beautiful. O'Connor: They spend a lot of time together.
But Hans would become King Consort. Being married to Anna would not give him a claim to the throne. Instead the next in line after Anna would be any brothers or sisters of Anna and Elsas dad, and it would keep going up.
Hans knew that as the heir, Elsa was the preferable bride, as his marriage to her would ensure his swift ascension to the throne. But when the prince heard that Elsa kept her distance from others, he realized that he would have to change tactics and had no qualms whatsoever in planning for the queen's death.
Following that action-packed climax, Anna is crowned the new queen of Arendelle, taking over from Elsa, and marries her love Kristoff (Jonathan Groff).
The implication, and it's only ever just that, is that Elsa and Anna's mother is herself somehow attuned to the magical forces such that Elsa was given the gift of superpowers. (Why Anna never received such powers is equally vaguely defined: just as Elsa and Anna's father had no powers, so too would she be power-free.
They are both highly intelligent. Elsa was groomed to be Queen from a early age, to the best that she could. This meant hours of lessons on government and diplomatic, probably from her parents but also a tutor. Anna would have received many of the same lessons, but probably not so intense, because she was the “spare”.
The filmmakers changing their minds and making Elsa and Anna sisters instead actually saved the movie. Their relationship — the love they have for each other, and the lengths they're willing to go to save the other — is the beating heart of Frozen.
