For the second time in Voldemort's life, the unforgivable curse rebounded on him, as the Elder Wand wouldn't kill its master. Since Harry and his friends had already destroyed all of Voldemort's Horcruxes, this finally ended Lord Voldemort's life, with Harry finally defeating the Dark Lord.
He didn't die. He merely lost his original body. This is because Lily Potter sacrificed herself to save her young son Harry, which ended up causing him to have protection from an attack from Voldemort by the power of love. His horcruxes kept him alive, but only as a fractured soul without a body.
Since Lord Voldemort only heard the last part of the prophecy, he interpreted it to mean that Harry was destined to destroy him, and so he set out to find and kill him while he was a baby and, presumably, not yet a threat.
During his final confrontation with Voldemort, Harry knew that he (Harry) was the Elder Wand's true master. He again cast Expelliarmus, ejecting the wand from Voldemort's hand into his own as the Killing Curse rebounded off his body, fatally striking Voldemort.

Was Neville the chosen one?
The prophecy is mentioned throughout the series, however, it never exclusively mentions that Harry is The Chosen One and suggests Neville was another option. However, one theory explains why, in reality, this wasn't possible.
On 13 June 1943, Riddle unleashed the beast into Hogwarts to continue Slytherin's "noble work" of purging the school of Muggle-born students. Several students were petrified and one Muggle-born belonging to Ravenclaw named Myrtle Warren was killed, becoming Riddle's first murder victim.
Due to his humiliation in the Triwizard Tournament, Cedric eventually becomes a Death Eater and kills Neville Longbottom. Due to Neville's death, the final Horcrux Nagini was never destroyed, and as a result Voldemort is never defeated, kills Harry and takes over the Wizarding World.
Summary. As a character, Severus Snape was often misunderstood. Many believed he was a villain, and weren't convinced he was actually working for Dumbledore. Snape killed Dumbledore in an effort to protect Draco Malfo and spare him from the emotional trauma of murder.
During the final battle, Bellatrix was the last Death Eater standing. She was eventually killed in a duel by Molly Weasley after her attempted murder of Ginny Weasley. Before her death, Bellatrix secretly gave birth to an illegitimate daughter named Delphini, whom she conceived with her beloved master, Lord Voldemort.
In Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, it is revealed that Bellatrix gave birth to Voldemort's daughter Delphi in Malfoy Manor before the Battle of Hogwarts.
Mason Riddle is the Son of Tom Marvalo Riddle, otherwise known as Lord Voldemort, and the only American student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Delphini, nicknamed Delphi, is the titular main antagonist of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Although she initially introduces herself as the niece of Amos Diggory, Delphi is in fact, the child of Lord Voldemort and Bellatrix Lestrange and has only one goal, restoring her father.

The curse rebounds, and Harry Disarms Voldemort. The Elder Wand flies to Harry and "with the unerring skills of a Seeker", Harry catches it. Voldemort opens his mouth, but the only sound that comes out is a faint, low rasp, and he disintegrates into ashes. As the ashes are blown away, the sun rises.
So, during the summer between his fifth and sixth years at Hogwarts, Draco Malfoy was tasked with the assassination of Albus Dumbledore to restore his family to Voldemort's good graces. Also at this time, Draco was branded with the Dark Mark.
He concludes that, because Snape killed Dumbledore, the Elder Wand belongs to him. Voldemort knew he couldn't cast Avada Kedavra with the Elder Wand to kill its master. Voldemort had to kill Snape because he needed the wand's allegiance to switch.
By Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, it's a stretch to call Draco a villain anymore. We just watched — or read — him struggle to reconcile his choices and morals in The Half-Blood Prince. He can no longer justify his actions, and is far more aware of the evil he was born and raised into.
Seething with fury at his humiliation, Cedric ended up joining the Death Eaters come Voldemort's return. As a result, during the Battle of Hogwarts, Cedric Diggory killed Neville Longbottom before he could destroy Nagini, thus keeping Voldemort immortal and allowing him to kill Harry Potter.
Voldemort ordered Pettigrew to "Kill the spare," and he used Voldemort's own wand to kill Cedric with the Killing Curse. Although dead, Cedric still had a role to play in the night's events.
Both of them touching the Triwizard Cup led to Cedric's murder, an event which haunted Harry for years. During Harry's duel with Voldemort, his spirit appeared to assist Harry when the two wands connected. He asked Harry to bring his body back to his parents.
Euphemia Rowle took Delphi in and raised her, allegedly only because she was offered a substantial amount of gold. According to Delphi, Rowle was not fond of her. She kept a pet Augurey and claimed that it cried because it knew Delphi was going to meet a "sticky end".
Lord Voldemort had no wife he and Bellatrix just made a baby together. Voldemort couldn't love anyone. But the girl mother (In cursed child) is Bellatrix Leatrange.
In the Cursed Child, Bellatrix and Voldemort produce a daughter named Delphi. She was supposed to be born a few weeks before the Battle of Hogwarts and was subsequently orphaned when both mother and father were killed.
