Elsa of Arendelle is a fictional character who appears in Walt Disney Animation Studios' computer-animated fantasy film Frozen (2013) and its sequel Frozen II (2019). She is voiced mainly by Idina Menzel, with Eva Bella as a young child and by Spencer Ganus as a teenager in Frozen.
Adding to this update is some news from franchise star Idina Menzel - AKA the voice behind Elsa - who seemingly confirmed her return during a chat with Billboard.
However, Elsa's most iconic songs and moments are all voiced by legendary Broadway and film actress Idina Menzel. Menzel is one of the most recognizable voices on Broadway, and every musical theater fan will immediately recognize her name and mezzo-soprano.
In Frozen 2, Elsa's voice changed slightly to reflect the character's growth and evolution since the events of the first film. Idina Menzel worked closely with the filmmakers and the voice over agency to ensure that her performance captured the changes in Elsa's character.

On February 8, 2023, Disney CEO Bob Iger confirmed that Frozen 3 is in the works, along with Toy Story 5 and Zootopia 2. While news of a third Frozen film was a welcome one, we have yet to hear more details about the movie or see a trailer. Here's everything we know about Frozen 3.
Honeymaren, a member of the Northuldra tribe who was trapped in the Enchanted Forest by the curse, could return for Frozen 3 as Elsa's girlfriend based on the two characters' shared chemistry.
However, the filmmakers were willing to say one thing definitively: "Elsa's not going to have a romantic relationship in this," writer-director Jennifer Lee told a group of journalists gathered at Walt Disney Animation Studios.
Among the main criticisms of Frozen 2 are that a lot of the introduction feels like it's moving the characterization backward, it doesn't hit the emotional depths of the first, and while the story is ambitious, it doesn't quite work in execution.
Anna's parents rush her to the sacred realm, where discussions with the trolls reveal that Elsa was born with her powers/ depigmentation and deafness, rather than them being due to illness or accident. Grand Pabbie troll heals Anna but removes her memories of Elsa's magic.
It was after that the decision was made to fully commit to the voice calling to Elsa being that of her mother, Iduna. As Marc Smith, Frozen 2's Director of Story, notes in the documentary, the idea "unifies the movie" since it starts with a flashback featuring Iduna and Agnarr, and it brings those elements together.
In an overall sense, Frozen 2 has a better storyline than its predecessor. It deals with some heavier themes, has different consequences, it's just stronger overall. Frozen 2 goes deeper, and digs into Elsa and Anna's background in some new ways.
Olaf appears in the sequel Frozen II, where he no longer needs a permanent snow flurry, as he is now made of permafrost, and enjoys being able to freely bask in the sun year-round. Now three years old, Olaf is slightly more intelligent and mature.
Frozen II occurred after a 3-year time jump, with Elsa now 24 and Anna 21. The Frozen movies seem to be one of the few animated Disney franchises to consider 21 an ideal age to rule.
Frozen had its general theatrical release on November 27, 2013. It was praised for its visuals, screenplay, themes, music, and voice acting; some film critics consider Frozen to be Disney's best animated film since the studio's renaissance era.

Although Elsa's disability is encoded as a magical ice power, the language the film uses to talk about her condition maps on to the experiences of people with physical, mental, and intellectual disabilities in recognizable ways.
The filmmakers changing their minds and making Elsa and Anna sisters instead actually saved the movie. Their relationship — the love they have for each other, and the lengths they're willing to go to save the other — is the beating heart of Frozen.
Elysium is the first daughter of Elsa and Jack Frost, protagonists in Frozen and Rise of the Guardians. She is also a Princess of Arendelle and Junior Guardian of Winter. She is the older sister to Elise and is the first heir to the Throne of Arendelle.
Moana 2 does not have an official release date, but it will likely be announced in the future. As of early October 2023, Disney has not officially announced the development of Moana 2.
Not only is Anna marrying Kristoff, she has Olaf & Sven as well. We also saw at the end of Frozen 2 that their responsibilities are taking them somewhat of seperate ways, although not completely. It only makes sense that Elsa gains her own companion as well.
Frozen 3 could also naturally bring Elsa and Honeymaren together as a couple since they both live in the same location by the end of Frozen 2: the Enchanted Forest. After Elsa discovers she's the fifth spirit, she finds her calling as the mediator between the natural world and civilization.
