Ridley Asha Bateman as Vee - Playing Vee, the kidnapped daughter of Jurnee Smollett's Hannah, Ridley Asha Bateman costars in Lou with just the third project on her resume.
Although set on Orcas Island (the largest of Washington State's San Juan islands), the movie was actually filmed in and around Ucluelet, on the south coast of Vancouver Island (Canada).
Hannah informs Lou that the hitchhiker is Vee's father, Philip (Logan Marshall-Green), a special forces soldier and criminal she thought was dead. Lou finds and kills Philip's friends Tony (Daniel Bernhardt) & Gerry (RJ Fetherstonhaugh) on the way, clearly showing she is more than she appears to be.
Initially, Lou seems to sacrifice her own life in the pursuit of killing her son. But Lou's ending scene reveals that she is alive and still watching over Hannah and Vee. She secretly keeps an eye on them because she is now a fugitive, with the CIA trying to track her down.
The wanted mother and son have a final showdown on the beach where Philip is seen stabbing Lou before the pair come together for a tight final hug, with Lou apologising to Philip. A CIA helicopter then appears to shoot them both. The film's final scene shows Hannah and Vee on a ferry, leaving Orcas Island for Seattle.

Vee then reveals she was alive, having orchestrated the whole thing with Ty involved (he fired a blank). Everything goes back to normal, and Azhar makes it so that Vee and Nancy get their money back.

After a standoff, it is revealed Philip is actually Lou's son, who tracked them down after she turned him in and hid them for protection. It is also revealed that Lou abandoned him as a child to avoid blowing her undercover mission in Iran.
Lou gets Will to admit that he is glad they came on this holiday, then kicks off her shoes and dances to music drifting over from the resort bar. When the song ends, Will calls Lou over. She sits in his lap and kisses Will. After a moment's hesitation, Will kisses Lou back.
Ruben insists he doesn't need help and doesn't want to stay, but Lou and Joe think he needs help. Joe says if he stays he he has to commit to the program and will have no contact with the outside world, including Lou. Ruben refuses and leaves.

Though many UCA members in the final scenes wore a Quipu pin, the Quipu that Lou is holding in her hands has chains, an indication that Amelie brought Lou back to life (as Amelie was wearing a Quipu as a necklace).
