Before he became a disciple of the dark side, Darth Vader was Anakin Skywalker, a goodhearted Jedi and hero of the Clone Wars. While he was considered one of the most powerful Jedi in the galaxy, Anakin had broken the Order's code by secretly marrying Senator Padmé Amidala.
He is the primary antagonist of the original film trilogy and, as Anakin Skywalker, is the protagonist of the prequel trilogy. Born a slave, he later becomes a powerful Jedi. He is lured to the dark side of the Force by Chancellor Palpatine, and becomes the Sith Lord Darth Vader.
Palpatine. Palpatine was grooming Anakin for over a decade to become his newest Sith apprentice. Not only could Palpatine identify the uncertainty and darkness that resided within Anakin, but he actively used it to turn him toward the dark side.
During the battle, Anakin, who had been known as the Sith Lord Darth Vader, was redeemed by Luke and brought balance to the Force. However, the redemption cost Anakin his life, having been mortally wounded by the Emperor, Darth Sidious, while killing his former Master.
Anakin Skywalker's birth mystery is solved - his mother, Shmi Skywalker, reveals that there was no father and she can't explain what happened. Qui-Gon Jinn believed that the Force itself created Anakin in Shmi's womb, making him the Chosen One who would bring balance to the Force.
Count Dooku was a Force-sensitive Human male Jedi Master who fell to the dark side of the Force and became a Dark Lord of the Sith, known as Darth Tyranus.
Instead, the theory suggests that Padmé died because Palpatine killed her. By taking a closer look at how Anakin's transformation into Darth Vader is intercut with Padmé's death, a clearer picture emerges of how Padmé's death was more likely a planned-out murder as opposed to an accidental tragedy.
The story is Anakin was manipulated to the dark side by Palpatine based on fears of losing Padme and appeals to his desire power and agency, over his life and the galaxy as a whole.
Legend had it that Yoda—a Jedi who became Grand Master—was trained by N'Kata Del Gormo. A Force-sensitive Hysalrian, N'Kata Del Gormo was trained in the ways of the Force and achieved the rank of Master within the Jedi Order.
History. A dark side warrior with a mysterious past, Kylo Ren was neither Jedi nor Sith, but a product of both sides' teachings. Once an apprentice of Luke Skywalker's, he killed his fellow students and drove Skywalker into exile, becoming a First Order warlord and servant of Supreme Leader Snoke.
By the end of The Rise of Skywalker, Emperor Palpatine (aka Darth Sidious) is believed to be the last of the Sith Lords. But was he really the last to ever live, or were there others in hiding? According to the current canon, he is indeed the last Sith, but that doesn't appear to be the case in Legends.
Summary. Darth Vader's intense hatred extends beyond Obi-Wan Kenobi and himself to Emperor Palpatine, as revealed in Star Wars: Darth Vader #39. Vader had to tap into his deep-rooted hatred for Palpatine to overcome a deadly Scourge and destroy a Clone Wars-era droid.
Darth Vader didn't learn he had a daughter until Return of the Jedi, when he stood before Emperor Palpatine. The Emperor's power probed Luke's mind, attempting to goad him to fall to the dark side, and he discovered Leia's existence. "Sister," the Emperor taunted.
Anakin Hated Obi-Wan Because of an Imagined Relationship With Padme. Although Padme and Obi-Wan's affair couldn't have been further from the truth, Anakin apparently built up a scenario in his mind, which was only heightened by the Jedi Council's obfuscation in other areas.
Anakin's vision did come true, as Padmé, heartbroken by her husband's downfall, loses her will to live and succumbs while giving birth to twins. Before her death, Padmé still believed there was still good left in Anakin and that one day he could be saved with the help of their children.
Another powerful dark side user during the Sith Empire was Kel'eth Ur. He studied as a Sith until he adopted the Jedi's philosophy of the pursuit of peace, realizing that Sith were ruled by fear. Ur then turned from the dark side and learned the ways of the light, imparting his knowledge to others.
Summary. Jar Jar Binks's clumsiness may not be genuine, but rather an act to disguise his true nature as a Sith Lord infiltrating the Republic. Palpatine carefully orchestrated events to manipulate the galaxy, and Jar Jar's involvement suggests he may have been the eyes and ears on Naboo.
Following Palpatine's final defeat and her own resurrection, Rey adopts the name Rey Skywalker to honor her mentors and their family legacy and renounce her lineage. As the last remaining Jedi, she makes it her mission to rebuild the Jedi Order.
Han Solo marries Princess Leia and they have three children: twins named Jacen and Jaina, and a younger son named Anakin. Luke reestablishes the Jedi Order, marries a non-movie (but fan favorite) redheaded Force-wielder named Mara Jade, and they have a son, Ben Skywalker (named in honor of Obi-Wan “Ben” Kenobi).
There is a deleted scene from The Empire Strikes Back that makes the kiss between twins Leia and Luke even more uncomfortable due to their now-known relationship as biological brother and sister. In an alternate version of the scene featured in the movie, Leia is remarkably more affectionate toward her brother.
