Peter Quill is the only victim of Thanos' snap whose eyes turned red. It happened within only a few frames, but it's unmistakable. While everyone else simply faded to gray and vanished, Peter Quill's eyes turned red.
In the latest "Guardians" movie, Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) is seen floating through space without a space suit or helmet. In the scene, the hero slowly loses oxygen and his face begins to crystallize with ice and swell up before he is saved by Will Poulter's character.

Who had the Power Stone before Thanos?
It was used by Eson the Searcher until it was forgotten for millenia in the planet Morag inside the Orb. The Orb containing the Power Stone was coveted by Thanos, who employed the Kree warrior Ronan the Accuser to bring it to him.
Tony Stark discovered he grew an Infinity Gem inside his head, which was dissected brutally by the villainous Maker. The Ultimate Universe concluded with Ultimate Tony Stark using the Infinity Gems to resurrect, but ending up facing new threats.
