To save everyone involved, Quentin sacrifices himself before managing to send both siblings into the seam. Following his death, Quentin reunites in the underworld with Penny-40, who takes Q to his funeral, wherein he experiences the meaningful gravity of his absence that weighs upon the lives of his friends.
Quentin cannot go through as he used his passport in visiting the underworld, and when he accepts the debt Julia owes for causing the catastrophe, allowing her through, he is forced to give up his throne and leave Fillory.
Quentin's role is always integral to the plot, making him the most important character in terms of moving the story forward. Quentin's belief and hope in magic, as well as his willingness to do the impossible, make him inspirational and heroic throughout the series.
The beast want to rule Fillory and take control of all magic, and as far as knows, Quentin is blocking him from that (and has been for 30-something lives) Also he is a deeply scarred being that hates the world because or his awful childhood and magic removed all his humanity.
The Beast kills one of Quentin's friends and takes his identity, becoming the leader of Fillory. It is later revealed that the Beast is actually Quentin from an alternate timeline, who became corrupted and insane after spending years as the sole ruler of Fillory.

How does Quentin become a god?
Quentin ultimately becomes a redemptive god: he creates a new body for Alice and calls her back, he kills Fillory's dying gods to keep the land from dying, he takes the mantle of a god to revive Fillory (but then gives it up), and then he creates his own land, which is how the series concludes.
Who is the most powerful magician in The Magicians?
At one point in the series, Julia becomes a Goddess, but that's not why she's the most powerful magician. Her obsessive drive for knowledge enables her to learn spells faster than most. That, paired with her relentless energy, makes for an incredibly powerful magical source.
Another character in this story that also face psychological disorder is Beast. He suffers Severe Depression. Similar with Beauty, Beast craves for love and attention, so that Beast faces depression when he lets Beauty leaves. Without Beauty, he doesn't see a point of continuing in life.
During the Krakoan Age 2020s X-Men storylines, Beast assumes an antagonistic role to the other X-Men, becoming an outright villain. The character has also appeared in media adaptations, including animated TV series and feature films.
Quentin may be the main character of the series with most events revolving around him, but that doesn't mean he's the most powerful magician on the show. That being said, he is a very skilled magic user and has demonstrated an ability to adapt to any situation and cast whatever spell necessary.
Promoted to Love Interest - In the novels, Eliot and Quentin are friends, but did drunkenly hook up exactly one. In the SyFy adaptation, they fall in love and Eliot becomes Quentin's main love interest in season 4.
In the process, though, the show's protagonist, Quentin Coldwater, has to sacrifice himself to save his friends. He dies while defeating the Monster, and the season ends with Quentin being allowed to see his friends for one last time before being escorted into the underworld.
Eventually, we learn that Quentin's magical discipline is Repairer of Small Objects. In order to have minor mendings as a strength, he must be able to focus on tiny details and then think about how they all fit together. This is characteristic of autistic people.
The Magicians' Fillory and Further books are not real, but they feel like they could be due to their familiar and well-developed fantasy world. The darker moments in the Fillory and Further stories lean whimsical instead of horrifying, unlike the reality in The Magicians TV show.
In the books, his main love interest is Alice, who dies at the end of the first novel, but is later brought back. Their relationship ends when Quentin cheats on Alice in a threesome with his best friend Eliot and Janet (Margo in the show).
Occasionally, her indifferent facade breaks, and she is easily capable of being mad, such as when Quentin Coldwater cheated on her by having an emotion-induced threesome with Margo Hanson and Eliot or when the possibility of bringing back her brother was gone.
A brilliant student, McCoy completed his doctoral studies and finally left the X-Men and Professor Xavier's school to take a position as a genetic researcher with the Brand Corporation, a division of Roxxon Oil. There he began working with Dr. Carl Maddicks and started a romance with his assistant, Linda Donaldson.
Beast's descent into darkness began with his desire to develop a cure for the Legacy Virus. Believing that he should be able to solve any solution with time and effort, Beast's pursuit of a cure became an unhealthy obsession.
The film's commentary also implied during the wolf attack scene that he was suicidal, or at least did not value his life too strongly, due to the hopelessness of ever breaking the curse.
Snow White can be classified as having Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. The Princess meets all eight of the criteria listed in the DSM-V to diagnose PTSD (See Appendix A). First, she directly experiences a traumatic event relating to a near death experience (Criterion A1).
Elsa. Elsa, the Ice Queen, the sister with magical power from Frozen suffered from Major depressive disorder. She was unable to control her emotions which later hurt her younger sister Anna.
(Book 3 Spoilers) For those of you haven't read book 3 but are in here for some reason anyways, Quentin's discipline is 'small object repair', which is actually pretty cool in context. He is a man that fixes things.
intelligent, driven, and melancholic. Quentin is an introverted person, but fiercely driven to grasp the power that's been handed to him. He's always suspected there was something different about him, and now he has the chance to prove it. But his low self-esteem and depression sometimes hold him back.
Gifted Intellect: Quentin was able to grasp the full comprehension of magical theory as taught at Brakebills University. As is the standard for all Magicians, Quentin possessed at least an Above Average level of intelligence that enables him to utilize the concept of magic and apply it in the physical world.
