Unfortunately for Talia, she would die without the Lazarus Pit. Given this, her condition keeps her tied to her father. In Batman #334, by Marv Wolfman and Irv Novick, she starts aging uncontrollably, leading her to betray Batman and return to her father in order to save herself.
Although Talia claims that her actions were an act of love for Bruce and Damian, Damian speculates that it was all about control for her, and that any love she may have had was gone completely, while Bruce believes that she never loved either of them to begin with.

Absent a spouse, Talia was considered as an heir to her father and his organization. While Batman is uninterested in the criminal empire, he has often demonstrated romantic feelings for Talia. Talia has saved the life of Batman or helped him on numerous occasions.
In his head, he reflects on his attraction to Talia. While his romantic feelings for her are real, it comes with the additional benefit of further endearing himself to the al Ghuls, giving him the advantage to bring them down.
