A new Batman storyline by DC Comics sees the Joker become pregnant and give birth to 'brown goo' that converts into a baby. The bizarre incident have left fans outraged. The comics series The Joker: The Man Who Stopped Laughing features Batman's nemesis get pregnant after a curse is placed on him, Daily Mail reported.
To make this happen, the most famous clown in comics persuades the wizard Zatanna, however, she wants nothing to do with the Joker and she casts a spell but it backfires and he is the one that becomes pregnant.
Yet the furor surrounding “Pregnant Joker” stemmed from a fundamental (and, in some cases, wilful) misreading of the story itself. Some news outlets and online pundits described Joker's condition in The Joker: The Man Who Stopped Laughing #4 as a conventional pregnancy, when that's demonstrably not the case.
Joker Jr. was born after The Joker, who had manipulated Harley Quinn into re-entering a life of crime, impregnated her without her knowing. Harley out of shame refused to accept the child and gave him up.

Was the Joker abused as a child?
Arthur was brought up by a foster mother and did not have a father figure. The foster mother herself describes him growing up as a fun and kind boy, but later he was abused and beaten by his adoptive parents and even had a severe head injury.
Having found legal documents from Arkham which confirm his suspicions, Arthur kills her while in custody of the medical hospital by smothering her with a pillow in revenge for all years of lies and the abuse during his childhood.
Mad Love introduces Harley Quinn as a former psychologist named Harleen Quinzel who fell in love with the Joker during her internship at Gotham City's Arkham Asylum and details her transformation into the Joker's villainous accomplice Harley Quinn, as well as the Joker's lack of respect for Harley.
Harley Quinn has a daughter named Lucy based on research and the video game Injustice. She finds out she is pregnant and leaves the Joker to live with her sister, After having her daughter Lucy Harley Quinn's sister raises her and she goes back to the Joker and he acts like she never left.
In main comics continuity, no. But in the animated movie “Batman Beyond Return of the Joker” it is revealed at the end that Harley is a grandmother. Her granddaughters names are Delia Dennis and Deidre Dennis. In the Injustice universe, Harley has a daughter.
The psychopathology Arthur exhibits is unclear, preventing diagnosis of psychotic disorder or schizophrenia; the unusual combination of symptoms suggests a complex mix of features of certain personality traits, namely psychopathy and narcissism (he meets DSM-5 criteria for narcissistic personality disorder).
It's also implied that the Joker may have been abusive to her (which may have been seen in the original comic as he was about to go into an angry tirade against his wife for saying "oh" in a flat tone over his failed attempt at the comedy club, only to then apologize in horror over his lashing out at her, especially ...
The Joker becomes both verbally and physically abusive. Rather than blame the Joker for this abuse, Harley convinces herself that Batman is to blame because Batman is constantly getting in the way of her being with her “Puddin.” After her failed attempt to kill Batman and some time in Arkham, Harleen returns.
So then what was up with Joker keeping baby clothes around? As a fan explained on David Ayer's Twitter post, Harley truly wants a family, so she likely bought the onesies before she and Joker were separated. When Harley was incarcerated, Joker laid out the onesies alongside his collection of guns, knives and laptops.
After this, the DC heroes do what, apparently, nobody has ever thought of doing before, and simply ask Joker if he has a daughter, to which he responds that he doesn't.
