Rue's dad doesn't start a riot in District 11 after his daughter's death. Haymitch doesn't convince the Game Maker to change the solo victor rule. The film annexes the briefly mentioned characters Madge Undersee, Mayor Undersee, Greasy Sae, and Venia.
Given that she is willing to make the ultimate sacrifice to protect Peeta, it's safe to assume that the Morphling was committed to the rebel cause. Arguably, many viewers find that the fixation on Prim's death took away the due respect that other characters deserve. But as the films follow Katniss, Prim's absence affects her most profoundly.

Before the events of Mockingjay, District 13 was something of an enigma to fans of The Hunger Games franchise. To the knowledge of Panem's citizens, District 13 was completely destroyed by the Capitol during the First Rebellion, and it remained inhabitable during the events of the main series.
Before the Capitol battle, Gale had explained to Katniss his series of bombs designed to feed off human compassion: a small bomb would go off, and then when medical aid rushed in, a second bomb would go off, killing those people as well. Incidentally, it's this exact type of bomb that took Prim's life.
Katniss made the choice to build her future with Peeta. If she didn't love him, she wouldn't have made that choice. Katniss made her whole world about getting the people she cared about to the next day, her choice to survive with Peeta proves her love for him.

He leaves a single, perfect white rose for Katniss in her old house when she visits what is left of her district. This is a sign to Katniss that she can do nothing without his knowledge, and it serves the purpose of unnerving her.
