After Hammerhead attacks the NYPD precinct, Yuri completely loses control, giving into a rage-fueled brutality and throwing aside her partnership with Spider-Man and resorting to using lethal force.
In reality, Yuri is revealed to be a sociopathic and narcissistic young girl, even more so now that she has Nanno's powers. She ends up using them for her own personal gain rather than for good use like Nanno does by killing anyone she deems a sinner no matter what, using revenge as an excuse.
A supporter of Spider-Man, Yuri and the webslinger worked together to stop an explosive gang war between the Maggia and Mister Negative. Following this, Yuri and Spider-Man shared information as they combatted different criminals and costumed villains surfacing around New York.
However, she was shown to be frustrated with how the justice system and the police were unable to deal with powerful and wealthy criminals who could always find a way to escape justice for their crimes. Shortly thereafter, a new vigilante, the Wraith, starts targeting Mister Negative's criminal syndicate.
This all culminates in a grand confrontation between Peter and Hammerhead, and when all is said and done, Yuri arrives to exact her vengeance on the crime boss. She shoots him in cold blood, and though he is revived, Yuri is placed on leave and ultimately leaves the police force.

Why did Yuri betray Spider-Man?
During the Maggia gang war instigated by Hammerhead, Yuri is slowly pushed to her limits by the infamous gangster. After Hammerhead attacks the NYPD precinct, Yuri completely loses control, giving into a rage-fueled brutality and throwing aside her partnership with Spider-Man and resorting to using lethal force.
Yuri is a recurring character in the series, who, while not always straight-up villainous, oftentimes antagonizes both Loid and the Forger family as a whole.
Yuri proceed to hire two men to do the same thing to them, that they did to other girls. After sexually torturing and raping the girls as the men had been paid to do, the men suddenly turned against her instead, drowning her in the same water Nanno was in.
Peter also developed an alliance with NYPD captain Yuri Watanabe; however, she remained unaware of his secret identity. He also had some sort of meeting with Matthew Murdock, although the exact details of this are unknown.
They only became friends with each other because they want to bring peace and justice to New York City. Also, Yuri Watanabe wouldn't know who Peter Parker is since she wouldn't know he's actually Spider-Man. He would just be an ordinary civilian to her.
This eventually culminates in Yuri killing Hammerhead. She is placed on leave after the event but returns in the third DLC, wherein she kills a prominent Mafia enforcer and leaves clues for Spider-Man to find her. Wraith is a character who stands opposed to Spider-Man in one major way: the act of killing criminals.
Perhaps the most notable evil Spider-Man is Venom (a.k.a. Eddie Brock). Originally a reporter, Brock becomes taken over by a symbiote discarded from Spider-Man's black suit.
After he betrayed Makarov during the airport massacre, he served with the Loyalists and the Task Force 141 disavowed soldiers named John Price and John "Soap" MacTavish. However, Yuri was killed by Makarov in a joint effort between him and Price to kill Makarov to avenge Soap's death.
As you can see, from many years of hatred and loneliness, Yuri has developed a demonic personality when she shows no mercy, and always uses death as her punishment. However, Nanno, as the wiser person, knows that death isn't the worst and most effective way to change the world.
As Spider-Man implores her to turn herself in for her killings, she disappears. She later resurfaces during the events of Marvel's Spider-Man 2, now operating as a masked vigilante named Wraith. Though she still has citizens' safety in mind, her methods have become much more violent as she doles out justice.
Aunt May's death is necessary for the character to evolve past a certain point. Aunt May serves as one of the few aspects in the game that forces Peter to live a normal life.
Although initially an ally of original Spider-Man, in the add-on DLC that takes place after the base game, she embraces violent vigilantism in the face of the continued murders of the Maggia and the limitations of conventional policing. In Marvel's Spider-Man 2, she assumes the identity of Wraith.
Nanno's blood revived Yuri, giving her the same powers and immortality as her. Unlike Nanno though Yuri prefers to spread chaos and get Nanno's marks killed by others using lies and manipulation.
Even though they're in a relationship, Yuri believes that his time with Victor will only last until the Grand Prix Final, and even if it hurts him, is subtly giving Victor a chance to end it between them. Victor's reply subtly means to tell him otherwise, and Yuri cries in response.
Yuri is a criminal even before the very start of the game. Broken several laws, being thrown into jail is just another Monday to him. Plenty of heroes kill, this is done when fighting is the only choice and the antagonist fights until they are dead.
Nanno often twirls her hair with one finger menacingly whenever she is thinking, bored, or when she is done or satisfied with a victim or target that she exposes. Whenever her target is exposed, vulnerable, or embarrassed she is usually amused and will laugh like a crazy person.
The player also finds that, if they attempt to choose to spend time with Yuri, Monika will interfere. Yuri eventually decides to confess their love for the protagonist; however, regardless of whether they are reciprocated, Yuri begins to stab herself to death.
While lesbianism is a theme commonly associated with yuri, not all characters in yuri media are necessarily non-heterosexual; Welker states that the question whether yuri characters are lesbians is a "very complicated issue." Insomniac surprised me completely with the whole Yuri becoming a murdering vigilante story. I knew in the comics she takes on the identity of 'Wraith' and begins to murder criminals when she begins to feel the law protects the corrupt but I didn't expect to see it in the game.
